"Be careful!" Mike instinctively stepped in front of her. Despite his nervousness, he shielded her.

Lily looked at him, then at the four collapsing bodyguards. Bang! They crumpled to the ground, seemingly unconscious. Lily stepped back, then continued to observe them.

"Are they dead?" Mike whispered, his eyes wide with apprehension.

"You..." Mike tugged her sleeve, then hesitated, releasing his grip slowly. "Be careful," he murmured.

As Lily knelt to examine them, Mike cautiously followed.

"They've fainted," Lily announced, turning to him. They were not dead, merely unconscious, seemingly in a deep sleep. The attacker had likely used a drug.

"Who did this?" Mike checked their breathing; a faint ether scent confirmed Lily's suspicion. They were drugged. But drugging four skilled fighters simultaneously seemed improbable.

'How were all four drugged at once?' she wondered.

"I don't know," Lily admitted, pondering the mystery. Regardless, this unexpected development eased a significant obstacle.

"We'll proceed," Lily declared. "You go inside to search for the items; I'll keep watch." The opportunity remained, and with the bodyguards incapacitated, further complications were possible. One of them needed to remain vigilant.
