The man bit down hard on Mike's thigh, letting out muffled, maniacal screams. His horrifying face, undoubtedly a source of pain, was exposed without his mask, and he went berserk. "Let go, you nutcase! Let me go!" Mike yelled, repeatedly punching the man's head. But no matter how hard he hit him, the man wouldn't release his grip, his bite unrelenting. Blood seeped through Mike's pants, staining them crimson.

The other two knew the force of the man's bite. He'd lost control, reckless of his own life. Mike hit him incessantly; the man seemed on the verge of being beaten to death. Lily urgently looked at Edward.

Edward reacted swiftly, raising his hand and delivering a hard chop to the back of the man's neck. The man grunted and collapsed, unconscious, but his grip on Mike's leg remained fixed.

"Fucking nutcase!" Mike cursed, unable to free himself.

Edward pinched the man's cheeks, and with his help, Mike finally pulled his leg free. Mike sat on the floor, gasping and sweating in intense pain. Lily knew the cut was deep, even without examining it.

"He's a maniac, alright," Edward said solemnly, looking at the unconscious man.

Lily joined him, bending to examine Mike's wound before tearing a cloth to stem the bleeding. "You shouldn't have provoked him. He's crazy!"

"I'm crazy too! I'll kill him for wanting to harm my son!" Mike retorted through gritted teeth.

"Don't be rash," Lily said, "Now's not the time." She turned to Edward. "What have you set up? What's your plan?"

Edward remained silent.

Lily pressed, "Did you set up bombs?"

Edward lowered his gaze, a silent admission.

The mention of bombs snapped Mike to attention. He stared at Edward in shock. "Are you insane? Bombs? Do you know how many viruses are in this facility, and the consequences of blowing it up?"

Edward replied quickly, "It's better than spreading them! The 'vaccine' launches soon, and tens of thousands of innocent people will be infected unwittingly. We can't let that happen!" It was his decision, his judgment, and he believed it was the only solution. He thought, We can only eradicate the harmful viruses by destroying the facility!

"Have you ever thought about the innocent people here who know nothing about the organization's secrets or what's happening? Do you plan to kill them, too?" Lily asked.
