Afterward, the maid quickly shut the gate, saying nothing more. She would have revealed nothing to anyone else.

However, Alexander was worried; Anastasia's condition had deteriorated unexpectedly quickly. She'd claimed to be fine, but then suddenly vomited blood.

"Let's go to the hospital!" he said.

"But..." Edward hesitated. Alexander had stressed minimizing contact with others.

"We'll maintain distance. Also, tell the hospital to have a hazmat suit ready," Alexander said gravely. "I must see her, no matter what, and find out more. If I'm involved in her illness, anyone who's been in contact with her must be quarantined. Otherwise, there'll be a serious outbreak!"

"Yes, sir!" Edward immediately called the hospital and quickly drove Alexander there.

When Dominic regained consciousness, he found himself alone. He looked around, tired and in pain, letting out a quiet sigh. "Uncle Dom, you're awake?" It was Austin's voice.

Surprised, Dominic raised his head to see Austin sitting at a desk across from his bed.

"What are you doing over there?" Dominic asked, too tired to move.

Austin put down his pen and hurried over. "I was taking notes. Are you hungry? Would you like something to eat? Or some water?"

"Water," Dominic replied.

Austin quickly fetched a glass of water and helped him drink half. He then set it down and wiped the corner of Dominic's lips with a napkin. "Are you still uncomfortable?"

Dominic shook his head and tilted it to look at his grandnephew. "What's wrong?" Austin asked, puzzled.

"You seem different," Dominic observed thoughtfully.

Austin was surprised and chuckled. "Different how? Have you forgotten who I am after sleeping so long?"

"Did I sleep a long time?" Dominic asked, confused.

"Eighteen hours or so," Austin said, looking out the window. "It's good to rest." Dominic managed a bitter smile. How can he call this resting? Anyway, he certainly seems different now. "What were you doing just now?" He noticed Austin was calmer and less impatient than before.
