Chapter 205
Melanie wanted to escape, but she remained rooted to the spot. Her body turned cold, and she trembled. She considered her options, her mind racing.
"Frank," she whispered, noticing he appeared to be asleep. She desperately wanted to leave. Suddenly, Frank's eyes snapped open, meeting hers. Startled, Melanie gasped, "Ah!" and stumbled backward.
Seeing her terrified expression, Frank laughed indifferently. He sat up slowly, tossed the items on the table into the trash can, and wiped his nose and mouth. Then he stood.
As Frank approached, Melanie retreated, backing toward the wall. She was trapped. "Frank, no!" Seeing him raise his hand, she averted her gaze, squeezing her eyes shut. Instead of striking her, he pressed a hand against the wall, cornering her. He tilted his head, smiling. "What are you afraid of?"
"I-I'm not afraid," she stammered.
"Really?" Frank cupped her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze. "Open your eyes!"
Melanie remained silent, unable to disobey. She kept her eyes squeezed shut, trying to forget what she had seen.
"If you don't open your eyes, I'll put those things in your mouth." His voice was soft, his tone light, but his words were menacing.
Shocked, Melanie opened her eyes wide, fearing he would carry out his threat.
"Heh," Frank chuckled, rubbing his thumb across her lips. "That's right! I like obedient girls the most! Don't worry. I won't tell anyone about this!" Melanie swore, blurting out whatever came to mind.
Frank seemed unconcerned. He shook his head. "Do you think I'd be afraid if you said anything?"
Melanie fell silent, knowing he spoke the truth. His actions proved his lack of fear; he was simply cruel.
"Frank, I'm willing to do anything you want, except this." After a moment's thought, she pleaded, "Please!"
"Please?" He burst out laughing. "How so?" He stopped, took her hand, and said lazily, "All right!"
