Alexander raised an eyebrow. "Because I am."

Mike was speechless. He cursed inwardly and moved to the back to change. He wet a towel with water and wiped his face, neck, and hands. Then, he put on Alexander's spare clothes and looked much more refreshed.

He sat beside Alexander, asking, "Now, can you tell me where we're going?"

Alexander glanced at him casually. "The embassy," he said slowly.

"The embassy?" Mike's eyes widened in surprise. "For what? Is my son there?"

"No, but we can only get your son back by going there." Alexander tossed him a file containing printouts of emails from Lily's inbox, shared by Olivia. The sender's signatures and content clearly identified the person.

Mike, puzzled, took the file. His frown deepened as he read, his eyes widening in astonishment. "This is..."

"Invitations from the Yudonian royal family," Alexander explained. "The later emails weren't invitations. They initially requested Lily create custom perfumes, but later invited her to the embassy. They also..." He paused, cocking his head, "...mentioned the lab."

Mike mused, Why would someone from the Yudonian royal family know about the lab? Why invite Lily? He'd initially thought someone influential held Nick in the Yudonian Royal Palace, but now realized the person must hold a very high position to so openly invite Lily to the embassy.

"So you plan to demand they release Lily and my son?" Mike doubted it would work. That's the Yudonian Embassy. They might not even let us in, let alone hand over Lily and Nick. After all, they sent the invitations to Lily, not us.

Alexander shook his head. "No, we're just going to assess the situation and identify who we're dealing with."

The car reached the embassy gate and was initially refused entry. Alexander presented Cameron's letter, and someone soon emerged to admit them.
