Spoiled by Mr. Russell, Chapter 2099
"Oh? So slander is unacceptable, but deceiving Her Majesty is acceptable?" Lily let out a cold chuckle. "Are you conducting this experiment for your queen or for yourselves?"
Fred, his eyes narrowed, snapped, "What nonsense are you spouting?!"
"Well, you know whether it's nonsense or not. You're simply deceiving Her Majesty!" The plastic cup Lily held trembled slightly in her grip. The organization, aware of her fighting ability, had provided it as a precaution against her using broken glass as a weapon.
Lily gazed at Fred and chuckled mockingly. "Too bad Her Majesty doesn't know you're lying to her."
Fred, initially furious, burst into laughter. "You're excellent at playing mind games and sowing discord. However, your plan won't work. You have no idea how strong the trust is between Her Majesty and me. She believes in me, and I am loyal to her. You will not sway her, understand?" He paused. "Forget it. It's pointless telling you this; you don't know what it's like to devote yourself to a nation. You and your gang of misfits are just business people chasing petty gains and selfish desires. How could you possibly comprehend our ambitions?"
He shook his head. "I'm here to tell you our experiment will continue as planned, regardless of how you treat your body. Also," he smiled, "to help you adjust to our country's environment faster, we plan to relocate you."
Lily looked at him, puzzled. "What do you mean?"
He merely smiled. After a moment's thought, Lily understood. "You're taking me to Yudonia?"
"You're remarkably astute! With your body and mind, you're perfect for Her Majesty."
"That's ridiculous! You can't take me away!" Lily exclaimed.
"Don't forget who we are. It's not that difficult," Fred said confidently, waving a dismissive finger. "Give up this charade for your own good."
He paused, then looked over his shoulder. "Oh, yes! If you cooperate, your children will receive better treatment. Otherwise... I worry the staff here might not be able to provide adequate care for you and your children. I'm sure you understand."
Fred left with a knowing smile.
"What an asshole!" Lily angrily punched her pillow. Fred is a cunning old bastard! Though she suspected it might be an empty threat, she couldn't help worrying about her children's safety.
"So, how do you feel?" Austin asked, removing the last needle.
Anastasia sighed and stretched. "Much more comfortable. I'm not as tired or sleepy, and I feel like I've lost some weight."
