Fabian blinked, seemingly puzzled by Cameron's question. Cameron repeated, "If Rhea wishes to hide, where would she go?"

"If I want to know where Rhea's hiding, I should ask her parents," Fabian retorted. Cameron's men had searched city-wide surveillance footage without success. Since she was unlikely to leave the city, she must be hiding locally. He had his men stake out Fabian's house, but they found nothing after two days. Cameron decided to try a different approach. "Why would Rhea want to hide?"

Fabian blinked again, then said, "You're trying to catch her?"

"Yes," Cameron replied seriously. "Rhea broke the law. If we can arrest her and prove her involvement, your sentence will be reduced." He slightly exaggerated the leniency, but the core truth remained: Fabian's cooperation could significantly lessen his punishment.

"You're asking me to betray my daughter?" Fabian looked conflicted.

"I wouldn't call it betrayal," Cameron countered. "Rhea committed a crime; she's not a hero. If she gets away with this, she'll hurt more people." Fabian shook his head, leaning against the bars and sliding down. "I don't know anything," he repeated.

"Fabian," Cameron pleaded, "it's getting too late for Rhea. You can still make amends by helping us apprehend her."

Fabian shook his head stubbornly. "I honestly have no idea. Even if I did, I wouldn't tell you. Even if she used me, she's still my daughter. How can I betray her?" he mumbled.

Cameron, frustrated but undeterred, hammered the bar. "Maria's ill," he said, sighing.

Fabian's eye twitched, but he remained silent.

"We've seized your house," Cameron explained. "I've arranged for Maria to stay at the suburban apartment. It's quieter and less crowded—a better environment for her."

"Gee, what would I do without you?" Fabian retorted sarcastically.

Cameron sighed again. "Did you know that Maria and Rhea once locked me in a secret room in your garage?"

Fabian was stunned, but maintained a pretense of ignorance.

"Fabian," Cameron said, shaking his head, "they've done many things behind your back, especially Rhea. Your daughter..."
