Lily leaned back, crossed her arms, and smiled. "So, that's what this is about. You constantly claim to be capable; why are you so desperate for the lab data?"
Rhea's annoyance flared. "The data represents collective effort! You stole it, and the database was destroyed. Besides, you're dying. You might as well give it to me; I'll put it to good use." She knew Lily possessed the document but doubted she'd relinquish it easily. The data was crucial for future experiments, and Rhea was determined to obtain it, resorting to threats against Lily's family.
"I'd rather destroy it," Lily said dryly.
"Do you think I need that document to succeed? I just won't let our work go to waste. You can't escape, Lily," Rhea glanced around. "You know what's coming. When we unleash chaos, what can your husband do? He can't save you now, can he? But I can ensure his safety, and your children's." Her voice hardened. "Give me the data, and I promise your family's safety from the pandemic."
Lily stared. "You're full of it, aren't you?"
"Youโ" Rhea gritted her teeth. "You'll regret this, Lily!" She stormed out.
Shortly afterward, Fred entered, looking bewildered. "You wanted to see me?"
Lily shook her head. "I wish to see Her Majesty."
Fred raised a skeptical eyebrow. "What's this about?"
"Since the experiment involves me and the queen, wouldn't direct communication be beneficial?" she stated flatly. "And I want you to send Dominic home."
Dominic, taken aback, stubbornly declared, "I'm not leaving!"
Fred scoffed. "Do you think I'll let him come and go as he pleases?"
Lily chuckled. "Don't forget where you are."
