"Don't you realize your children are waiting for you?" Yasmin continued.
Unperturbed, Lily lifted her chin. "Of course I do. So what? You won't let me go anyway! Since I can't escape, I might as well try to save someone." Fierce determination shone in her eyes.
"You're truly unlike me," Yasmin sighed.
"Indeed, and I'm glad of it."
"Well, too bad we're compatible in blood type and other aspects," Yasmin said. "It doesn't matter if you're unlike me. God's will binds our fates together."
Lily chuckled. "When did you become religious? Is it because you've gotten old?"
"Shut up!" Enraged, Rick lunged forward. Confident Lily wouldn't shoot, he attempted to grab her gun, but she evaded him. A struggle ensued in the confined space.
"Stop!" the queen shouted. "Rick!"
Rick obeyed, glaring at Lily as he positioned himself protectively before Yasmin. The queen pushed him aside. "There's no need to protect me. If she wanted to hurt me, she would have done it long ago."
Lily snorted. "That's very trusting of you, Your Majesty."
"Well, I trust myself more than I trust you," Yasmin said confidently. "You simply dare not hurt me because of who I am. If anything were to happen to me here, it would mean war between two countries." Yasmin shook her head slightly. "You won't risk it."
"Try me!" Lily dashed forward, seizing Yasmin's shoulder and pointing the gun at her.
"Your Majesty!" Rick shouted.
The others were stunned, scrambling to hide in a panic.
"Lily, are you fucking insane?!" Rhea exclaimed, her career now dependent on the queen's safety.
Lily ignored Rhea, turning back to Yasmin. "You're wrong, Your Majesty. Yes, I didn't want to risk it, but I'm dying soon, and someone like me has nothing to lose. If you don't fulfill my request, I'll make sure everyone here dies with me and Nick!" She sneered. "Besides, did you go through the official channels when you came to Hyderland? I doubt you did."
