Cameron didn't need to elaborate; the others understood. Revealing the pandemic's origin and perpetrators would severely damage Yudonia's reputationโ€”a fact the Yudonians would never admit. Yet, the pandemic's devastating impact ensured they couldn't ignore the public outcry. The resulting condemnation alone would be overwhelming, eroding public trust in Yasmin and jeopardizing her rule. From Cameron's perspective, it was a brilliant plan.

After a moment's hesitation, Mike asked, "Will the government assist?" The others shared his concern. Exposing the truth offered significant advantages, but the implications were vast. If it were simple, Hyderland would have acted long ago.

First, concrete evidence was crucialโ€”a necessity for any lawsuit, especially one of this magnitude. Second, the complex relationship between the two countries demanded careful consideration, along with potential repercussions. Alienating Yasmin would damage trade and diplomatic ties. Moreover, even if Yudonian discontent grew, they might direct their anger at Hyderland for instigating the public backlash. The extent of the queen's remaining support remained uncertain.

"The government is reviewing the situation and will make the best decision," Cameron replied, nodding. "I've heard about your son's situation, and we'll provide support. However, we hope you'll refrain from any unauthorized actions."

Mike stared, stunned. Cameron's subtle suggestion was clear: the government knew about Mike's firearm smuggling. They were also aware of Yasmin's possession of firearms, a secret she had to maintain given her status and clandestine presence in Hyderland. It was time for the queen to leave.

"I understand," Mike said, nodding gravely. Without Alexander's predicament, Cameron could have easily waited and arrested Mike upon receiving the weapons. The veiled warning had been received.
