Chapter 334

Lily walked past Melanie and strode toward the exit. "God knows why she stopped me," she muttered. "It'll be troublesome if she tries to frame me again later."

As she exited, Lily saw Giselle rushing toward her, her face alight with joy and excitement. Giselle tried to conceal her emotions, but failed. "Congratulations, Ms. Christian!"

The results of the first two rounds were released immediately after the organizer's finalization, but the participants had to remain in the venue for a while.

Lily found Giselle's attempts to suppress her happiness hilarious. She raised a hand and pinched Giselle's cheeks. Giselle was stunned.

"Let me give you some advice," Lily said. "What?" "Don't call me Ms. Christian next time."

Lily rarely went by that title, and it felt strange. Her words momentarily stunned Giselle.

"What should I call you then?" "My name." Giselle blinked. "Lily?" "You're doing great!" Lily patted Giselle's head.

To Lily, Giselle was a coworker with different responsibilities. Besides being extra cautious and serious about her work, Giselle was also kind. In Westwood, Giselle had handled all the arrangements—accommodation, travel, and food—allowing Lily to focus on her work. Lily was grateful.

Feeling upbeat, Lily joked with Giselle before leaving. A car pulled up in front of her. A man exited the vehicle and approached.

"Ms. Christian?" "Yes," Lily nodded. "We're here to pick you up."

The man spoke fluent, polite English. However, his wide sunglasses obscured nearly half his face, making it difficult for Lily to see him clearly. "Who told you to?" she hesitated, a suspicion forming. She only knew one wealthy person here: that young lady.

"It's Ms. Lisa Parker."

Lily was right. She didn't understand why Lisa was seeking her out now, so soon after the competition's end. She didn't tell me she was going to meet me, she thought.

"Ms. Parker said she has something important to discuss, but couldn't call because the competition period made communication sensitive," the man explained. He stepped forward, handing Lily an item. "You'll understand after seeing this."

Lily recognized Lisa's ring.

"That means she doesn't want me to call her?" "Ms. Parker said she'll explain in person," the man replied, opening the car door. "Time is running out, Ms. Christian. Please get in."

Giselle ran after them, still using the formal address. "Where are you going? It's late."

"I need to meet Lisa." "I might need to go with them," Lily said.

Giselle paused, eyeing the tall, foreign-looking man. Pulling Lily aside, she whispered, "Rumors about you and Mr. Parker are circulating. Meeting Ms. Parker now is inappropriate. You should refuse."
