Chapter 347

Leonel glanced at Lily, then deliberately raised his voice. "How would I know the difference between one day and two? She was kidnapped, and you didn't act immediately! What nonsense is this? Tell me, what should we do now?" The people on the other end were growing angry. "Where's your boss?" they demanded.

"Boss?" Leonel paused. After a moment, he said, "My boss is still deciding whether she can be rescued, so hurry up and get here!"

Lily immediately hung up.

"Miss, did I handle that well?" Leonel asked cautiously, eager to avoid angering her.

Lily glanced at him, snorted coldly, and stood. "The three of you stay here. I'll deal with you later!"

Alexander booked the earliest flight. He expected to see her immediately, but after landing, he couldn't contact anyone. Calls went unanswered, and she wasn't at her hotel. His anxiety mounted.

He contacted his Westwood associates and called Rebirth. George, shocked by the call from his boss, answered.

"No, I haven't heard from them today. Okay, I'll contact you immediately. I'll get back to you as soon as I have news!" He paused, correcting himself. "No, I'll get back to you if there's any news!"

After hanging up, George tried calling Lily, but couldn't reach her. He then asked Jenny for Giselle's number, but that call also went unanswered. The gravity of the situation finally hit him.

Cold sweat beaded on his forehead. He wondered why the boss had called him. Edward usually handled arrangements with Lily at Rebirth, leading George to believe they were involved.

"Mr Mr. Russel," he stammered into the return call, "I've been looking, but no luck."

"Have you contacted the tasting competition organizers?" Alexander asked in a low, disappointed tone. His voice carried a chilling tension, a feeling like a sharp blade pressed against his back, raising the hairs on his arms.

"I have. They said she left after two rounds and hasn't been seen since. There's no record of her returning to the hotel. Maybe she's out and encountered an accident," George whispered.

"What accident?" Alexander asked.

"I don't know," George replied. "I'll send someone to contact Westwood immediately and find out as soon as possible."

"No need!" Alexander interrupted. "Whoever calls you with an update, let me know immediately."

"Yes, yes!" George hung up, sweat pouring down his face.

Alexander appeared calm, but his heart was in turmoil. He'd faced countless tests and threats, overcoming significant challenges, but this panic was unlike anything he'd ever experienced. He was terrified something had happened to Lily. He dared not dwell on it. He needed to act swiftly, contact the police, and use every connection to investigate. Nothing could happen to her.

Meanwhile, Lily was bored. She paced the room, found some food, and checked on Giselle, who remained deeply asleep under the influence of a potent drug. Lily, unaffected, searched for her phone and Giselle's, finding only Christopher's confiscated phoneโ€”difficult to use and lacking many features.
