Chapter 373

"Mr. Corden, it's a pleasure to meet you," Alexander said, shaking hands. Mr. Corden's enthusiasm was readily apparent. Lily noted his warm, approachable demeanor and fluent speech. Had this meeting been prearranged?

"So, what do you think? I wasn't exaggerating, was I? Truthfully, I wouldn't say Southbank Soap is the best in the area, but it's certainly the most creative," he said, gesturing to the shelves. "These soaps are handcrafted and can also be used for skincare. Over 85% of Southbank Soap is vegetable oilโ€”the skin benefits are significant. But beyond their inherent value, they're also ideal gifts for friends and family."

Mr. Corden's presence commanded respect; the clerks visibly grew nervous and more deferential upon his arrival. Knowing Alexander was likely conducting business, Lily remained silent, quietly admiring the small objects. Even Mr. Corden's self-promotion didn't seem excessive; the Southbank Soaps were indeed remarkable. She'd seen other craft itemsโ€”candles, wood carvings, even stone carvingsโ€”but never soap like this.

"What do you think?" Alexander asked, turning to Lily, surprising her.

"Huh?" Lily responded, realizing he was addressing her.

"What do you think of the products?" Alexander persisted, remaining close.

Lily thought, What does he mean? Weren't they discussing business? I have no idea about business. However, prompted by Alexander, she clapped her hands, stood, and said, "From my perspective, these Southbank Soaps are captivating, but I believe Mr. Corden mentioned creativity?"

Mr. Corden nodded eagerly. "Yes. We're the only ones with these unique, creative Southbank Soaps."

Lily looked around, nodding slightly. "They are very creative. The carvings are meticulously done, in many styles. Customization is possibleโ€”different shapes and designs, correct?"

"Absolutely," Mr. Corden replied, smiling. "We strive for ingenuity to satisfy our customers. And our packaging is designed for easy transport, perfect for gifting or personal use."

Lily hesitated, then said, "I've seen many beautiful boxes, but I worry about the risk of creative ideas being copied." She'd experienced similar situations and understood the implications. "Depending on how long you've had this design, if it's profitable, imitation will likely follow quickly." She glanced out the door at the bustling street. Many shops sold Southbank Soap; several nearby factories mass-produced it. The product's uniqueness was fading.

Mr. Corden nodded repeatedly. "You're right! Imitations have appeared, but the artistry and creativity are far inferior. For now, we haven't lost much business, but long-term, we need to improve and establish a strong partnership with Mr. Russell."

Typical businessman, Lily thought, all business talk. Mr. Corden's gaze shifted to Alexander, then back to Lily. "What do you think?" he asked softly.

Lily remained silent, inwardly wanting to smack him. What do I think? I think this store is fantastic. Could Alexander buy it?
