Chapter 466

Brandon had even forgotten his sister's interest in Alexander; he only wanted to see Alexander's fiancée.

Edward was speechless at Brandon's behavior. Alexander ignored him. He knew this moment would come after publicly announcing Lily's identity at the Lodge family banquet. He was relieved, however, that their relationship was now known; public knowledge was only a matter of time.

As the car pulled into the Imperial Hills entrance, Alexander told Edward, "Stop here for a moment." Brandon was about to ask why they stopped when he heard Alexander say, "Get out."

"Huh?" Brandon looked around in confusion, unsure who Alexander was addressing.

Alexander stared directly at him and firmly repeated, "You, get out."

"Why?" Brandon was annoyed. Being ejected from the car like this would be embarrassing. His car was still parked at La Beaute Group's parking lot; how would he get home? Seeing Alexander's fiancée was his primary reason for visiting. How could he leave now, on the verge of success?

Only an idiot would leave now. Legs spread wide, Brandon stubbornly declared, "I won't!"

"Get out! Don't make me repeat myself!" Alexander, clearly annoyed, narrowed his eyes coldly.

Brandon stubbornly braced himself, one hand on the door handle, the other on the seat. "No, I won't! I'm seeing your fiancée today! You can't make me leave! No way!"

"Edward!" Losing his patience, Alexander ordered Edward to remove him.

Edward, anticipating this, was prepared. At Alexander's command, he unbuckled his seatbelt, moved to Brandon, bent over, and said, "Mr. Oakley, I'm sorry."

"W-What are you doing?" Brandon's grip on the door loosened in nervousness.

After a brief warning, Edward forcefully opened the door, nearly sending Brandon tumbling out.

"Ithis is illegal! Assault! If you touch me, I-I'll sue!" Brandon pointed at Edward and yelled. Then, adopting a pitiful expression, he turned to Alexander. "We've been friends for ages, practically brothers! Besides, you'll have to show her to me someday. Why not now, since I'm at your doorstep? It's rude to just kick me o-ou-out"

Before Brandon finished, Edward lifted him from the car and deposited him on the ground.

Brandon wanted to disappear. He'd never been so humiliated. Even though no one was nearby, security guards were present. Being manhandled and ejected was mortifying.

After closing the door, Edward stood before it, preventing Brandon from re-entering. "Mr. Oakley," Edward said, "please be respectful." Brandon knew Edward well. Though seemingly unemotional, he was a skilled fighter; he didn't need to exert much force.
