Chapter 539
After the event, the models returned to the hotel. Lisa, however, was delayed because she spent some time with Lily. She fell behind the others.
The TV station reporters were just packing up to return and draft their manuscript. They encountered Lisa at the hotel entrance.
"Hey, Lisa! You're still here! Your performance today was awesome! Can I take a picture with you?" they asked politely.
"Of course!" Lisa replied gracefully.
After taking several photos, the reporter, impressed by Lisa's friendly demeanor, shook her hand. "Lisa, you're so young and humble. You'll definitely succeed in this industry!"
"Thank you!" Lisa smiled, shaking the reporter's hand. A faint fragrance wafted from Lisa's wrist.
The young female reporter, a perfume enthusiast with a highly sensitive sense of smell, was momentarily startled by the scent. She didn't release Lisa's hand.
"Hello, are you okay?" Lisa asked, noticing the reporter's continued grip. (Had the reporter been male, Lisa would have considered it harassment.)
The reporter, realizing her lapse, quickly apologized, "I'm so sorry." However, she still held Lisa's hand tightly, even leaning closer.
"What are you doing?" Lisa asked, startled, pulling away her hand. Her wrist brushed against the reporter's palm.
The reporter lifted her hand to her nose and sniffed deeply, a strange expression on her face. "Sorry, Lisa. I didn't mean to startle you. Could I ask what perfume you're wearing?"
Lisa was surprised by the question. "Perfume?" she replied. She remembered the new perfume Lily had given her and sprayed on her wrist.
"Oh, it was a gift from a friend. I put it on because I liked the fragrance."
"No, it's not a familiar combination," the reporter said. "I'm a perfume collector and enthusiast, and I've never smelled anything like this."
After a pause, the reporter exclaimed, "By the way, isn't your father a renowned perfumer? He must have made this for you, right?"
The idea of having a custom-made perfume was enviable.
Lisa, hearing the compliment, wondered why the scent seemed so ordinary to her. She'd felt slightly disappointed earlier.
She raised her wrist, and a faint, enchanting fragrance drifted into the air. The subtle scent captivated everyone nearby.
Lisa was astonished.
