Chapter 713
Alexander was speechless, not because of her words, but because of her movements. She struggled to sit up, hugging his waist and pressing her face against his abdomen. "I'm so tired!"
'Was this what they meant by the body being the most honest?' he wondered.
Still stiffly standing in his trousers, he considered, 'Should I follow her lead, or just let her rest?' Then, Lily's hand moved to his abdomen, sliding downwards. "So hard!" she murmured.
Alexander, now aroused, decided to make her responsible for his reaction. Without hesitation, his hormones overwhelmed him, and he lay on top of her. He pinned her hands down. "There's more" he began, but before he could finish, Lily lifted a knee, striking his most sensitive area.
Instantly, his arousal vanished. His face darkened as he glared at the culprit, now sound asleep with her eyes closed. How could she be asleep? He stood, easing the tension in his body, removed his trousers, and carried her.
Still angry, he was rough as he placed her on her side of the bed. Perhaps because of his harshness, Lily woke. She stared at him, confused about having been lifted and moved.
"Did I fall asleep?" she asked.
"Are you sure you're awake?" Alexander asked, eyeing her skeptically.
"I fell asleep?" she repeated.
His question confirmed it: she'd fallen asleep moments ago, with no memory of what had happened. She recalled showering and intending to find him downstairs.
Looking around their bedroom, she realized she hadn't gone downstairs, but had fallen asleep on the bed. This was unbelievable! Despite previous all-nighters and days without sleep, she'd never fallen asleep like this, no matter how tired. This was a first.
Was she getting old? Seeing her innocent face, Alexander was speechless. His anger evaporated.
"You should go back to sleep. I'll shower," he said, rising. Before Lily could speak, he turned back. "Never mind, don't go back to sleep. Let me shower; I'll dry your hair. It's not good to sleep with wet hair."
Lily watched him enter the bathroom, admiring his back and shoulders. Yet, why did he seem unhappy?
