Chapter 886

Alexander, desiring his wife, kissed her lips before she could finish her sentence. Lily had been so busy that they hadn't made love in several days. Seeing her return home tired each day, he'd felt sorry for her and hadn't wanted to disturb her. Now, seeing her spirited and energetic, he could barely contain his desire.

"Alex, don't... I'm already late..."

The air crackled with passion as they made love. The flight was the furthest thing from their minds. Some time later, Lily rolled over, aching and exhausted. She knew she needed to get up, but the effort seemed impossible.

A hand reached around her, slid down to her waist, and then to her belly, gently massaging it. Lily, initially wanting to pull away, shuddered and allowed him to continue.

"Now I'm 100% missing my flight," she sighed helplessly.

Alexander spooned her from behind, murmuring softly, "So you've decided to work with Grandeur?"

His warm breath tickled her neck, eliciting a nod. "Yes."

"I thought you wanted to create your own brand?"

She had mentioned it repeatedly, which was why she'd wanted the studio.

"They can coexist. I'm still creating my brand. If Grandeur wants to collaborate, they can invest or participate in other aspects, like co-branding." She squirmed, turning to face him, but he held her close. Lily had once thought him generous, but now realized Alexander was a possessive man who knew how to control his impulses. "Do you think Grandeur will agree to my request?"

Grandeur was a massive international brand; collaboration was a coveted opportunity. Asking them to co-brand with her fledgling studio seemed audacious.

"There's no guarantee, but no harm in asking. If they weren't interested, they wouldn't have called after I initially rejected them. Their call and offer to meet, leaving room for discussion, suggests it shouldn't be a problem."

"So they've already called you?"

"Yes," Lily nodded. "They wanted to buy the patent a few days ago, but I refused."

Alexander's gaze turned thoughtful at her frank admission. "You're starting to keep secrets, huh? I didn't even know about the call." He pressed his forehead against hers, rolling on top of her. "I guess I have to punish you somehow."

"Alex, no..." Lily whined, "My flight..."

It was now irretrievably lost.
