Chapter 897

“Ms. Christian, we look forward to working with you,” the other party said, putting down their pen and picking up the two contracts with a satisfied smile.

Lily took the contract, reviewed it carefully, and extended her hand. “Looking forward to working with you too!”

She hadn’t expected the collaboration discussions to go so smoothly. Grandeur readily accepted all her terms with only minor amendments. In the next quarter, they would launch a co-branded series, “Grandeur de Lily,” a win-win for both parties.

This wasn’t unprecedented; several renowned perfumers had successfully launched co-branded series with international brands, proving popular with consumers who valued creator recognition.

However, as Lily’s first foray into the international market, achieving immediate success independently would be challenging. Collaborating with Grandeur presented an excellent opportunity, although she wouldn't compromise her terms. Grandeur only worked with top perfumers; their offer was a testament to the success of her Four Seasons-themed series.

Overseas, Hyderland perfumers often faced skepticism, even disdain. Grandeur's offer gave Lily a significant advantage, making it relatively easy to secure favorable terms. She knew, however, to avoid unreasonable demands, ensuring her requests aligned with her long-term goals. After signing, she felt immense relief and stretched her arms.

Jenny tapped the contract. “Those are excellent terms. Few perfume makers in our industry receive such favorable offers,” she said enviously.

“Luckily, you helped me review the contract. I wouldn't have noticed some of the subclauses and wording without your input,” Lily said gratefully.

Jenny laughed. “It’s understandable. Anyone lacking experience or professional training would struggle to decipher those clauses; they were drafted by a team of lawyers. Even I wouldn't have spotted the issues without my past experience.”

Lily nodded. She’d initially questioned Alexander's decision to send Jenny, but now recognized its wisdom. Jenny's expertise allowed her to expertly review the contract, and their familiarity ensured a comfortable working relationship. Importantly, Jenny was female. La Beauté Group’s legal team was entirely male, and Alexander likely felt a woman’s presence would be more appropriate. Lily imagined he might have even flown over himself had a major project not kept him occupied.

“With the contract signed, your studio's long-term development is secure,” Jenny said. “Though, I imagine you’ll be busy fulfilling Grandeur’s substantial annual orders. And you're hosting your wedding soon, aren’t you? Don't you want a break first?” She tilted her head, looking at Lily.

“I’ll decide later. I haven’t thought about it yet,” Lily replied, twisting her neck. She then heard a familiar voice nearby: “Looking forward to working with you.”

Business discussions were common in this location, but the voice was strikingly familiar. Lily looked up, stunned.

A young man rose to shake hands, bidding farewell. He then saw Lily. His reaction was far more composed than hers. He smiled slightly and greeted her, “Lily, what a coincidence!”

Lily was speechless. His use of her name confirmed her recognition.

“How are you…” she began, her shock leaving her momentarily speechless.
