Chapter 904

"Let's welcome our new chairman!" The door opened, and Benedict entered. Many gasped; they had all heard of his supposed death. Not only was Benedict alive, but he had unexpectedly assumed the chairmanship of Tanner Corporation. The more astute quickly realized Derrick's orchestration of this day.

Like a loving father, Derrick had cleared all obstacles for Benedict's ascension. Soon, everyone applauded, offering at least a show of support for the new chairman.

Benedict approached the podium, saying solemnly, "This isn't my first time attending a meeting, but it is my first time chairing one. From now on, I'll work diligently with all of you to make Tanner Corporation even stronger."

"I believe Benedict needs no introduction. Let's proceed to the next item. Our company is launching a new project with significant profit potential. Since Benedict is in charge, let's hear his proposal."

Benedict sat beside his father, retrieved a document, and handed a flash drive to the secretary, who projected the presentation. The words on the screen stunned the audience: "Wooden Sculpture?"

Murmurs arose. "This is unprecedented. Why wooden sculptures? Is it even profitable?"

"Yes, wooden sculptures," Benedict confirmed, nodding. "I understand your skepticism, given the company's unfamiliarity with this venture."

He paused, then continued. "Technically, we have undertaken a preliminary trial, albeit discreetly, while the project was in development. Over the past few months, I've travelled to Middle Valley and other tropical regions to source suitable wood and secure suppliers. I've also conducted thorough market research. The lack of competition and significant market potential are undeniable advantages. Wooden sculptures, as art pieces, command high collector value, with enthusiasts willing to pay exorbitant prices. Furthermore, I've already secured an order generating enough profit to sustain us for at least three years!"

Benedict displayed his prepared data analysis, silencing the doubts. Initial skepticism gave way to interest. "Not bad at all. Some of our current projects are in declining markets; we must plan for the future. Benedict is right to be forward-thinking. This project is feasible."

"Shouldn't you address him as Mr. Tanner now?" someone chimed in.

"Yes, Mr. Tanner! Under Mr. Tanner's leadership, Tanner Corporation's future looks bright!"

"Way to go, Mr. Tanner! We're fully behind this new project!"

Benedict visibly relaxed. It was his first solo project, and the initial nerves were palpable. He exchanged a reassuring glance with his father and offered a small smile.
