Chapter 14: I Wish You a Long and Peaceful Life

Maggie's voice was soft and sweet, seemingly obedient, yet carried an indescribable hint of provocation. Nathael narrowed his eyes, his gaze dark and dangerous. He thought, This woman really needs to be dealt with! What had the Camerons taught her?

"Stay away from Ericko," Nathael warned, his thin lips slightly parted. His expression held an inexplicable impatience as he reached up to loosen his tie.

Maggie calmly observed him, blinked, and asked, "Why?"

Nathael chuckled coldly, showing no intention of explaining. His gaze became even more obscure. Undeterred, Maggie leaned closer, her fair face millimeters from his. She whispered, "Nathael, are you jealous?"

Nathael tensed. He distinctly smelled her pleasant fragrance. The moment her words fell, his pupils darkened. He grabbed her arm, pulling her onto his lap. His other hand pinched her slender waist, pressing her against him. He forced her lips to meet his fiercely.

Their kiss was moist and tender, leaving Maggie stunned. Without waiting for her reaction, he forcefully parted her lips, initiating a passionate kiss. Maggie's mind went blank; her body stiffened. The long black evening gown, bunched up beneath her, revealed a hint of her chest, accentuating her beauty. His kiss, vigorous and wild, felt like a blazing fire consuming her, a torrential downpour soaking her soul.

Soon, Nathael lowered the car's partition, leaned over, and pinned her beneath him.

"Nathโ€ฆ" Maggie gasped, her thoughts fragmented. He interrupted her with a low, hoarse voice: "You really have a lot of courage! Do you find teasing me amusing?"

"Really?" Nathael's voice was low, but his actions didn't cease. His hand slid under her skirt, gliding over her skin, then paused.

Maggie trembled, her reddened eyes slightly upturned, conveying a mixture of vulnerability and seduction. Feeling helpless and on the verge of tears, she blurted out, "In my previous life, Nathael, you weren't like this! You were always a restrainedโ€ฆ old pervert!"

"What is it?" He lightly kissed her earlobe; his restraint seemed fragile under her teasing. His warm breath tickled her, making her want to escape. Her body went limp in his grasp.

"It'sโ€ฆ you and Erickoโ€ฆ you're deeply in love? I'm sorryโ€ฆ I shouldn't have interfered!" she cried. "I won't do it again! I'll keep my distance from Ericko in the future! We only have a pure friendship!"

Maggie's mind was in chaos. Her body burned; she just wanted to escape. Nathael's hand paused. He chuckled. He lightly nibbled her earlobe and whispered, "Maggie, do you want to die?"

The sudden warmth made her shiver. Instinctively, she hugged him back, her eyelashes trembling. In her past life, Nathael had never shown such affection. Now, he seemed like a completely different person. If she had known, she would have been more modest.

She sighed. The lights outside blurred; the car's temperature rose. Fear welled in her eyes, especially as she felt his fingers. "No, please don't!" she whispered, her voice trembling.

"What is it you don't want?" His voice was hoarse, his eyes dark and unclear, filled with desire.

"I won't dare anymore. I know I was wrong! I will keep my distance from Ericko!"

She surrendered, feeling an inexplicable discomfort that shocked and frightened her. Her cheeks burned with a mix of shyness and annoyance. Nathael narrowed his eyes, staring at her. Her moist eyes expressed anger and embarrassment. She seemed daring yet speechless, like a fully bloomed rose, exuding an indescribable allure. Nathael forced himself to suppress his desires.

After a while, he got up, took a tissue, and gently wiped his fingers. In a low voice, he said, "Remember what you said."

Flustered, Maggie avoided his gaze and stood, her face burning. She looked out the window, angry and annoyed, refusing to look at him. Jerk! she thought. He was bullying her! In her previous life, he had silently protected her. Why was he like this now?

Nathael remained silent, his emotions unclear. He took a cigarette, paused, and put it back. He had lost control, from seeing her with Ericko to his actions afterward. Now, she must despise him, right? He lowered his gaze, concealing his self-mockery. Even if she felt repulsed, at least he held a place in her heart; perhaps, she would remember him.

"What do you want now?" His low, husky voice echoed, still carrying a hint of ambiguity, a trace of indulgence and tenderness.

Maggie stared at him, unable to resist turning her head. He was bathed in light and shadow; his cold, handsome face held a hint of warmth. Her heart ached.

Sensing her gaze, Nathael raised his eyes. His profound gaze seemed filled with turbulent emotions, yet there was a trace of gentle tenderness. She rubbed her eyes, composed herself, and smiled brightly. The room seemed to fill with splendor. She looked at him gently and said earnestly, word by word, "I wish you a long life, a hundred years of peace, happiness, smooth sailing, and all your wishes come true."
