Chapter 268: Someone Quite Dear to Me

Sierra, caught off guard by the unexpected confrontation, seethed with anger. Struggling to maintain her composure, she faced Nathael and exclaimed, "Do you even know who I am, Harris? Let me remind you that I am Ms. Sierra Cameron. If you dare to defy me, you'll regret it!" Her breath grew labored as she struggled to speak.

Her petite stature only added to her embarrassment. Held by Ethan, she looked like a child in the grasp of an adult—a sight bordering on the absurd.

Ericko shot Nathael a significant glance, his cold gaze hinting at deeper implications. "Seems like you've caused quite a stir," he remarked.

Jimmy, his mischievous grin widening, added, "Yeah! Did you harm my sister and then abandon her?"

Both Ericko and Nathael turned to him, their gazes dark.

Unperturbed, Jimmy chuckled heartily. His handsome features—red lips and white teeth—resembled a succubus, alluring and enchanting.

Seizing the moment, Leslie said, "Jimmy, I'll clean up your mess."

Donny, idly playing with a dagger, remarked, "Jimmy isn't fond of being alone."

Sierra's face burned with fury. "How dare you?" she sputtered. "It's only by luck that I even acknowledge your existence. You belong with someone like Maggie! Why is she with you and not me?"

Trapped in Ethan's grip, Sierra's words tumbled out incoherently. Nathael and Ericko's expressions darkened. Nathael signaled for Ethan to release her.

"Say that again," Nathael said coldly, his gaze locking onto the disheveled Sierra.

Sierra sneered. "What? Are you afraid now? I said you're lucky I even acknowledge your existence. I can offer you far more than that pitiful Maggie. Use some common sense!" Nathael pursed his lips, signaling to Ethan with a raised finger, his gaze piercing.

Ethan then delivered a resounding slap across Sierra's face.

Slap!

The sound echoed, leaving Sierra disoriented and crumpled on the ground. Her face burned with humiliation, and her ears rang.

Alex stood nearby, his demeanor cold and unwavering.

Chapter 268: Someone Quite Dear to Me (continued)

Did she truly believe Mr. Harris was easy to push around? Did she assume he had a pleasant disposition toward everyone? She continued to provoke him!

"How dare you! How dare you slap me!" Sierra muttered angrily, her voice rising in indignation. With fiery eyes, she glared at Ethan before shifting her gaze to the man seated on the sofa, his demeanor unyielding.

Before she could finish, Ethan grabbed her hair and forcefully slammed her head onto the table. The impact echoed loudly. Nathael, his gaze cold and indifferent, fixed his eyes on her. "Since Ronald failed to instill proper values in you," he said in a deep voice, "I'll do it for him."

"Who do you think you are? Do you think you're all that? D-Do you know my father?" she stammered.

Ignoring her words, Nathael referenced Ronald directly. As Sierra's vision cleared, she saw the extraordinary individuals around the table, and the women beside them eyeing her disdainfully. It was evident these men were the main focus, not the "gigolo" Maggie had mentioned.

"W-Who… who are you?" Sierra stammered, her face draining of color, unease settling in.

Nathael extinguished his cigarette. "I thought you knew, Ms. Cameron."

Harris… His last name is Harris…

Sierra collapsed, her arrogance vanishing instantly. When the group mentioned Mr. Harris, she hadn't considered the Harrises; she'd simply assumed a shared last name and good looks.

He… He is…

Encountering Nathael's deep, cold gaze, Sierra's mind went blank.

Maggie deceived me! That woman played me like a fool!

Nathael stood tall. "I never hit women, but you've crossed a line."

Tears brimming in her eyes, Sierra snapped back to reality. "Mr. Harris… Mr. Harris, I made a mistake. I didn't realize it was you! It was all Maggie's fault! She tricked me into believing you were just a gigolo! I thought…"

Jimmy laughed. Leslie pushed up his glasses, interest gleaming behind the lenses. Ericko rubbed his forehead, feigning ignorance of Sierra's outburst. Nathael overlooked the "gigolo" mention, his dark eyes fixed on Sierra with amusement. "Coincidentally, Ms. Cameron," he said, "the person you deemed despicable happens to be someone quite dear to me. What are your thoughts on that, Ms. Cameron?"

Sierra gaped in disbelief.

He… He likes Maggie!

If he were a gigolo with feelings for Maggie, it would be one thing, but he was the esteemed Nathael Harris. How could he be drawn to such a woman?

Ethan seized a bottle, shattered it against the table, and forcefully slammed her head onto the table.

Agony coursed through her, from the impact and the glass shards piercing her skin.

"Ah! My face! My face!"

Trembling, Sierra hesitated to touch her bleeding face. Crimson blood trickled, filling the air with its metallic scent. Her vision blurred. She glanced at the man standing nearby, his narrow eyes exuding bone-chilling indifference. He treated her like an insect. A shiver ran down her spine; an inexplicable fear gripped her.

"I won't cause you any more trouble for Maggie's sake, Ms. Cameron. As punishment, administer ten slaps to yourself, and we'll deem this matter settled."

Nathael's calm words filled Sierra with shock and dread.
