Chapter 62: That's a Stupid Question

The woman beside Jimmy followed his gaze. She saw Maggie, the center of attention, with the alluring Mia at her side. Jealousy pricked her.

"So, they're the ones looking for men who look like Mr. Harris?" she sneered. "How bold and ignorant!"

She furtively glanced at Jimmy's expression. He remained silent, his smile deepening as he sipped his drink, his gaze fixed on Maggie.

Hearing this, Nathael rose and went to the railing. He saw Maggie, chin in hand, surrounded by fawning men. She seemed in good spirits. Nathael's eyes darkened; a cold smile played on his lips. He felt a surge of anger.

"She really has some nerve!" Beth exclaimed, rising to join him at the railing.

After a quick glance downstairs, she concluded none of the men resembled Nathael—it was difficult to see clearly from above. Moreover, exact replicas were rare. Many men vaguely resembled Nathael, believing their value would skyrocket by association. Foolishly, they only humiliated themselves.

"That Crimson Grove manager is infuriating! Using Nathael's name as a gimmick! I'll give him a piece of my mind," Beth spat, assessing Maggie and Mia.

She knew Mia; the Gatlins were prominent, and Mia’s bold personality was well-known. This behavior wasn't surprising. However, the woman beside her was unfamiliar. Her striking beauty was tempered by a cool, detached gaze, lending her an untouchable air. In the shifting light, she resembled a pure, alluring white camellia.

Emma Holland, Beth's friend, glanced at Maggie and Mia. "There are always ignorant people who dream of finding a man like Mr. Harris. They should look in the mirror," she said. "I'll go teach them a lesson."

Beth stopped her. "Don't go. That's Mia. She's not someone you mess with."

Emma frowned. They’d heard tales of Mia's arrogance; even those who looked down on her wouldn’t easily provoke her.

"So, we're just letting it go?" Emma asked angrily.

Beth remained calm. "What's the rush? We'll have our chance. Let them dream for now."

A deep male voice cut through the air. Nathael's darkened eyes fixed on them. "She's not dreaming."

"W-What?" Beth turned, startled.

Nathael withdrew his gaze, warning them in a low voice, "Mind your own business."

Beth and Emma shuddered under his cold gaze. Before they could respond, he turned and descended the stairs, heading straight for Maggie's table.

"Mr. Hansen, what's going on with Mr. Harris?" Beth, her good mood gone, voiced her suspicions.

Jimmy glanced at them, his captivating eyes alluring. "He's chasing the moon."

"What moon?" Emma asked.

Jimmy smirked. "Go ask him yourself."

Beth gripped the railing tightly. She recalled rumors about Nathael's projects being transferred to the Camerons—a suspicious move. There were whispers of him favoring the Cameron's adopted daughter. Beth had dismissed this, but watching Nathael approach the woman downstairs, unease washed over her. "The woman's last name is Adam?" she asked Jimmy.

The devilishly handsome man, his captivating eyes affectionate, lit a cigarette. He glanced at her and said softly, "I'll offer you some advice."

"Please do," Beth replied.

"It's wiser to let go of Nathael sooner rather than later," Jimmy said, his pupils dark, his advice born of their shared social circles.

Beth's face paled. "Why?"

Jimmy chuckled, a hint of mockery in his dark eyes. "Beth, that's a stupid question."

Beth fell silent, her gaze fixed on Maggie downstairs.

When Nathael reached Maggie, he saw a man awkwardly pouring her wine. "Maggie, do you like men like Mr. Harris?" he asked. Maggie offered an enigmatic smile, remaining silent.

The man tactfully changed the subject, pouring more wine. "Another drink? If you're bored, we can go to a room."

Maggie laughed. "What do you want to do in a room?"

The man’s gaze lingered on her face, then lower, revealing impatience. "Anything, of course."

Maggie chuckled, feeling manipulated. How dull!

Her initial curiosity fading, she was about to leave when she saw a man remarkably like Nathael approaching. He had sharp features and intense eyes, exuding fierceness and nobility.

Maggie froze, her throat tightening. He looked…identical to Nathael. She quickly covered her face. "No, you can't see me!"

"Maggie, what are you doing?" Mia asked, noticing the stern-faced man.

"Maggie, are you feeling sick?" the awkward man asked, reaching for her forehead.
