Chapter 801
“Given the beggar's abilities, he would never have achieved this level of grandeur without help,” Chloe calmly analyzed. “His cousin, Emmanuel, must be assisting him. That black card he's holding belongs to Emmanuel's wife.”
Abellyn suddenly understood. “That's right! He's flaunting Emmanuel's wife's resources! Damn it, he's outshone us this time!” Resentment filled Abellyn. She always sought opportunities to impress Ryder, to make him regret their breakup. She never expected to be upstaged upon their reunion. Now, it seemed Ryder wouldn't regret it; he might even marry a young woman!
“This is outrageous! Absolutely infuriating!”
“Calm down, Abellyn,” Chloe advised, knowing her sister best. “Ryder has support, but so do you. Your relationship with Blake is far closer than his with Emmanuel's wife, isn't it?”
“You're right! I'll contact him immediately!” Abellyn's confidence surged.
She'd almost spent the million Blake gave her, and hadn't even bought a house or car. But she knew she could get more money from Blake than Ryder.
“Hmph, this isn't over, Ryder Lowe! We'll see who laughs last!” Abellyn gritted her teeth, her gaze fierce.
The next morning, Magnus and Gautier practiced golf at a Yeringham course.
Looking tired, Blake arrived without disturbing them. He found a beach chair and napped.
“Is that your new bodyguard, Mr. Magnus?” Gautier asked, offering Magnus a glass of wine.
“Yes, I pleaded with my father to let him protect me,” Magnus replied, accepting the wine. “Thank you!”
“Invincible Iron Skin, Indestructible Pillar of Strength! He defeated the Six Grandmasters and Shoiya's elite ninjas with a single move, shocking both nations! I must pay my respects to such a prominent martial artist!” Gautier admired Blake, preparing to approach him.
Gautier envied Magnus. While wealthy and a prominent CEO, Gautier lacked a standout bodyguard, finding it embarrassing. Skilled experts were rare, and without the Zelinsky family's fame, securing top martial artists was difficult.
“I suggest you avoid him for now, Mr. Gautier,” Magnus advised after a swing.
“Why?” Gautier asked, puzzled.
“Haha, he's not only ugly but also bad-tempered. He wouldn't be ignoring those attractive women otherwise,” Magnus analyzed.
Gautier recalled Blake's “Casanova” moniker and his lascivious nature. They'd invited four attractive women, yet Blake hadn't flirted with them.
“Damn it! Magnus, you bastard, watch your mouth!” Blake, awakening, cursed. “What do you mean ugly and bad-tempered? I used to be the number one handsome man!”
Gautier was shocked by the bodyguard's disrespect. He was even more surprised by Magnus's lack of anger. Magnus chuckled, “See? Ugly and bad-tempered.”
Chapter 802
Gautier smiled wryly, uncertain how to respond. He realized Magnus possessed exceptional tolerance—the key to attracting talent. Gautier had encountered arrogant experts unwilling to work for him, regardless of the offer. This encounter gave him insight into attracting true talent.
“Damn it, how dare you repeat that?! I haven't gotten you for the last time!” Blake appeared before Magnus, grabbing his collar. “You nearly had me kill my own son!”
Magnus blinked innocently. “I didn't know he was your son. Can you blame me for your active breeding?”
Furious, Blake released Magnus's collar and pulled his hair. “Why am I so level-headed? I'd beat you up otherwise!”
Magnus adjusted his glasses, patted Blake's shoulder, and said, “Fate. The child's alive, isn't he? You, however, should be careful of being drained by that woman!”
Blake stared at Magnus. “How do you know?”
“How could I not?” Magnus chuckled. “You left suddenly last night and returned this morning. You're ignoring those women; you obviously had a wild night and are now exhausted!”
“Haha, you're surprisingly accurate!” Blake praised. “You're right. Abellyn Sheppard… last night… I almost died of pleasure. But this morning, she asked for more money! She wants to drain me dry!”
“Did you give it to her?” Magnus asked.
“I did!”
“How much?”
“Seven times!”
Magnus clarified, “I meant the money…”
“Oh, for fuck's sake, money's just a worldly possession. But if you want to reimburse me, it's 3 million!”
“Alright!” Magnus agreed, transferring 3 million to Blake.
Gautier was stunned. He couldn't believe Magnus readily transferred the money. He lacked the financial power to support such experts.
Blake was astonished. “Why are you so eager to help me pick up girls, Magnus? Ulterior motives?”
“Ulterior motives even when I give you money? Give it back then!” Magnus laughed.
“No way!” Blake guarded his phone.
Magnus simply patted Blake's shoulder. “You're considered relatives of Emmanuel Lowe. Don't hesitate when you need to act!”
“Relatives, my ass!” Blake grinned. “His cousin and my son have no blood relation.”
“That's good!” Magnus turned serious. “Tame Abellyn Sheppard. She'll be useful one day.”
Chapter 803
Ryder waited at the entrance of the Yociam Residence. A Maserati emerged.
“Ryder?” Emmanuel was surprised to see him shivering in the early morning chill.
Mackenzie, in the passenger seat, also noticed. He seemed to have been waiting since before six.
“What's wrong, Ryder?” Emmanuel stopped the car.
“Hehe, I came to return this card,” Ryder said, handing Emmanuel the black card.
Emmanuel and Mackenzie were stunned. He braved the cold just to return the card!
“Ryder, no one asked you to return it. Mackenzie gave you this card to use!”
“I can't use it!” Ryder waved his hands. “I used it once yesterday, and that's enough for me!”
He'd made a 620,000 purchase, the most glorious moment of his life. He couldn't dare use it again.
“Then, how's your relationship with Tia?” Emmanuel took back the card.
“Thanks to this card, Ms. Marianne was pleased and agreed to let me pursue Tia! Thank you!” Ryder couldn't hide his excitement. He hadn't slept a wink.
He knew this was due to his cousin and Mackenzie, so he returned the card to express gratitude.
“That's good, Ryder. You're my cousin. You took good care of me as kids!” Emmanuel patted Ryder's shoulder. “Since you don't want the card, do your best. Tia's a good girl.”
“Yeah, I know! I'll visit your mom and Tommy more often!” Ryder nodded, bowing slightly to Mackenzie. “You should take Ms. Quillen to the company. Her time is precious!”
Emmanuel gave Ryder a thumbs-up and got back in the car.
“Ryder returned this.”
“Why won't he use it?” Mackenzie took the card.
Emmanuel explained, “Ryder’s always been frugal. He feels uneasy about the large amount he used.” He understood Ryder better than anyone; he was even more honest than Emmanuel himself.
“You Lowes are idiots,” Mackenzie pouted.
Emmanuel forced a smile, realizing he'd set himself up again. Mackenzie’s phone rang.
“Hey, Grandpa!”
“Mackenzie, how did you spend at Kellen’s last night?” Every black card transaction was sent to Terence’s phone. Terence was scrutinizing expenses due to financial issues within the Terence Group.
“Dinner with a friend.” Mackenzie kept it brief.
Terence sighed. “Mackenzie, please refrain from luxury spending until we overcome this situation.”
“I understand, Grandpa.”
Chapter 804
After Mackenzie hung up, the atmosphere was heavy. Emmanuel realized the Terence Group faced more difficulties than he'd imagined.
“Mackenzie, if your company needs working capital, I can help!” Emmanuel decided to use his over 5 billion.
Mackenzie gazed strangely at him. “You?”
“I know wealthy friends. I can try getting a loan,” Emmanuel said casually, unable to reveal his identity as the Wolf Warrior.
“Don't underestimate me. I can handle the company’s affairs myself!” Mackenzie didn’t want his help, believing he couldn’t help much, especially since he was unemployed.
Emmanuel said nothing. He knew she didn’t think highly of his financial capabilities. After dropping her off, he planned to meet Eve. Unexpectedly, she was unreachable. He checked on Snake Master's recovery. Eve finally called back at noon.
“Sorry, Sir, the Wolf Warrior Society is facing trouble. I haven’t had time to check my phone!”
“What happened? Is it serious?”
“It’s quite bad. Someone in Yeringham is backing a new force opposing the Wolf Warrior Society. They seem to want to replace us!”
“I’ll take a look. I also have something to discuss with you!”
“Okay!” Eve hung up, clearly overwhelmed.
“Snake Master, are you alright now?” Emmanuel asked.
“I can still kill.” Snake Master's voice was deep and hoarse, terrifying.
“Disguise yourself and come with me,” Emmanuel instructed, leaving immediately.
Snake Master, wearing a hat and mask, followed. His appearance was both ugly and terrifying.
“Where is your sister?” Emmanuel asked in the car.
“She went back to the organization!”
“Oh, she can do that?”
“Why not? I’m the one who betrayed the organization, not her!”
“Right, got it.” Emmanuel nodded skeptically. He always took their words with a grain of salt. He wondered if her disappearance was related to the Saintess, suspecting her to be the Saintess. However, he held Snake Master's life in his hands, so he temporarily believed them.
They arrived at the Waterspring Club.
“Oh my, you’ve come, Mr. Lowe!” The hostesses, including Nina, fluttered over, but shied away upon seeing Snake Master.
Emmanuel chuckled and walked in. He hadn't expected Snake Master to have such an effect.
Chapter 805
“What kind of monster is that man behind Mr. Lowe?”
“Yeah, his eyes are so scary, like snake eyes!”
“Look at him, walking like a big snake. Goosebumps…”
Nina and the hostesses gossiped after Emmanuel and Snake Master entered.
Emmanuel ignored them. Christopher and Wolf Warrior Society members greeted him and led him to a spacious room. Eve and several injured members were present.
“Sir, you’re here!”
“What exactly happened?” Emmanuel asked. Many members were injured, suggesting the opposition wasn't amateur.
“Hmph, a group called the Hellfire Club has emerged. They’ve clashed with our brothers and resorted to violence!” Christopher explained.
Yeringham wasn't large, but a rival faction wasn't unusual. However, the injuries suggested the opposition was formidable.
“Sir, the leader will come to negotiate later,” Eve said, speculating the opposition might not be targeting the Wolf Warrior Society solely.
Emmanuel nodded. He wasn’t interested in power struggles, but Eve's matters were his. He suspected the Hellfire Club might be connected to the Holy Fire Organization, Magnus, or even targeting him.
Emmanuel treated the injured members, skillfully relocating a dislocated joint.
“Woah, my hand can move instantly!” the man exclaimed.
Emmanuel helped several more, alleviating their injuries.
“Wow, Mr. Lowe is amazing!” The members admired him.
Eve smiled. They hadn't seen the full extent of Emmanuel's abilities.
Soon, a middle-aged man and companions barged in arrogantly.
“Ah! You scoundrel!”
“Don’t touch me, you jackass!” The hostesses' curses could be heard. The men had groped them.
“Those bastards! Let’s get rid of them!” Christopher drew a machete.
“Chris, don’t act recklessly!” Eve stopped him.
Chapter 806
Christopher and others charged, but were pushed back. Emmanuel, witnessing their skills, furrowed his brows. These weren't ordinary thugs.
The middle-aged man was Everett Parrish. He'd injured many Wolf Warrior Society members.
“Haha, so what if it’s your territory? We can play with your women! If you want to fight, just come at us!” A purple-haired man sneered.
“Damn it, let’s fight then!”
“Attack together and tear them apart!” Many members couldn't stand it.
“Stop it! Anyone who acts without my orders will be expelled!” Eve shouted sternly. She didn't want to cause a large-scale brawl, especially with her former senior as the Level 1 Inspector.
“Haha, looks like your Queen is more sensible!” Everett grinned. “We’re here to share your territory. Cooperate, and we won’t bully you.”
“Damn it, they’ve gone too far!” Christopher wanted to act, but he heeded his sister's gaze.
“Heh, quite the grandiose talk!” Eve spoke. “You want our territory? Fine! Conquer me with money or your fists!”
Boom! Everett shattered a chair with a kick.
The crowd gasped. Emmanuel furrowed his brows. This required profound internal strength.
Eve felt a lack of confidence due to her lingering injuries from her fight with Blue Rose. However, she couldn't show weakness.
“Wait!” Emmanuel spoke. “The Wolf Warrior Society can send someone to fight you one-on-one. If you win, the Waterspring Club is yours. If you lose, you must leave with both hands.”
Everett trembled, then sneered. “And who are you? Can your words be trusted?”
Eve responded coldly, “His words are mine! Are you willing or not?”
Everett guffawed. “Haha… If I lose, I’ll leave my life here!”
“Good! Straightforward!” Emmanuel said. “But why use a sledgehammer to crack a nut? We can easily dispatch someone to beat you, a piece of garbage!”
Chapter 807
“Shut up!” Everett was furious.
“Not even your Queen will be a match for Everett. Others coming would only be sending themselves to death!”
“That’s right. Don’t go back on your words when you lose!”
The Wolf Warrior Society members were nervous. They thought Emmanuel would fight, but he wasn't a member.
“Take a break, Eve. I’ll sort this out,” Emmanuel said.
“I have faith in you, sir. However, there’s a rule in the Wolf Warrior Society that whoever fights on behalf of the society must be a member,” Eve said seriously.
“Shouldn’t be a problem.” He nodded. Snake Master was his slave.
“Alright!” Eve stepped back. She wasn't fully recovered from her injuries.
As she thought Emmanuel would take her place, he stepped back and gestured to Snake Master, who slithered out.
“This…” The room was astonished. Even Nina and the hostesses were shocked.
“Haha, your Wolf Warrior Society is truly a unique bunch. Where did this old man come from? You guys better not regret it when I kill him with one slap later…”
Whoosh! Snake Master suddenly accelerated, coiling around Everett.
The room was stunned.
Hiss… Snake Master hissed, sending shivers down Everett’s spine.
“Damn it, Monster. I’ll kill you-” Everett tried to break free, but the tighter Snake Master’s grip became. His bones cracked, and he screamed in pain.
Snake Master tightened his grip further, intending to strangle him.
Emmanuel shouted, “Stop!” Snake Master released his grip.
“Admit defeat?” Emmanuel smiled at Everett.
Nina and the women gawked. Eve also smiled. She wondered where Emmanuel found him.
“I… I admit defeat!” Everett was drenched in sweat. “Let me go; I’ll take my men and leave immediately!”
Chapter 808
“That won’t do,” Emmanuel said. “Words should be kept.”
With that, he signaled Snake Master, who snapped Everett’s right arm.
Ah! Ah… Everett screamed. The Wolf Warrior Society members cheered.
As Snake Master was about to break Everett’s other arm, Emmanuel shouted, “Let him go, and the rest of you leave us, please!”
Snake Master released his grip. Eve ordered, “Everyone, leave. Strip each of Everett’s men of one arm!”
“Alright!” Christopher was excited.
Soon, only Emmanuel, Eve, and Everett remained. Everett's followers' screams were audible.
“If you don’t want to die, tell us about the people behind you and your true intentions,” Emmanuel said.
Eve's heel crashed down, creating a hole in front of Everett.
Ah! Blood oozed from his cheek.
“If you don’t speak up, the hole will be in your face next!” Eve’s tone was cold.
“I’ll speak! I… I’ll speak…” Everett shouted. “We’re not part of the Hellfire Club. We’re just a small affiliated faction acting on the orders of the Hellfire Club’s master!”
“Tell us about the Hellfire Club in detail,” Emmanuel demanded.
Eve stomped on him, creating a bloody hole in his left hand.
Ah! Another scream.
“You were given a choice, yet you’d rather pick the hard way. Was it worth it?” Emmanuel sighed. “What is the grudge between the Hellfire Club and the Wolf Warrior Society?”
“I… I really don’t know about this. I’m just a small fry following orders!” Everett was honest.
Emmanuel scrutinized him, confirming he wasn’t lying, and signaled Eve.
“Get lost!” Eve kicked him toward the door. Everett scurried away.
“Sir, why did you let him go?”
“What’s the use of killing a small fish? Only by letting him go can we attract the big fish!”
Eve agreed.
Eve asked, “Sir, what did you want to talk to me about this morning?”
Chapter 809
“My wife’s company is facing another financial crisis. I want to help her, but I don’t want to expose my identity. I want to ask if you have any ideas.” Emmanuel went straight to the point.
“You can establish a company and find a way to invest in her company!” Eve suggested. “If you’re worried that Mackenzie might get suspicious, just appoint someone you trust to be the investor.”
Emmanuel’s gaze fell on Eve, accompanied by a smile. He lacked business experience, but Eve had plenty.
“Well, alright!” Eve said. “I’ll handle it for now. Once you find someone else you can trust, I’ll step down.”
“Agreed!” Emmanuel gave her his bank card. “Recently, Magnus and the Verkades have been targeting those around me. I can’t protect so many people alone. Can you provide assistance?”
“What about that strange guy by your side earlier?” Eve countered.
“He’s on his own, and besides, don’t you think having him join the Wolf Warrior Society would be adding another powerful force?” Emmanuel suggested.
“Deal!” Eve agreed. “I’ll have my people secretly protect your family, and the strange man will follow me for now.”
“Okay!” Emmanuel made an OK gesture.
Emmanuel left and received a call from Roselynn.
“Sis, what’s up?”
“Manny, why don’t you accompany me in looking for a job? You’re currently unemployed, too, aren’t you?” Roselynn had been bothered lately.
“I don’t mind doing that with you, Roselynn, but have you ever thought about starting your own business?” Emmanuel asked.
If he could help those around him thrive, that would be ideal. He cared most about Roselynn.
“Starting a business? I have considered it occasionally, but where would we get the funding?”
Emmanuel became enthusiastic. “Don’t worry about the money. I’ll help you figure that out. You just need to decide what you want to do!”
“Really? You’re not going to borrow money from Mackenzie, are you?”
Emmanuel smiled. “As long as it’s legal, you don’t have to worry about the source. I’ll find a way for you. You just need to put in the effort!”
“Really? Well, of course, I’ve always wanted to get into the fashion and cosmetics industry!”
Chapter 810
Roselynn was excited. Emmanuel was amused.
“Alright, once you have your plans set, just let me know how much money you need, and I’ll take care of it!”
“Hehe, okay! You better not just be trying to make me happy, or I’ll mangle you!” Roselynn warned.
Roselynn returned to the Oatley residence.
At the entrance, a maid, Lucy Yeo, whispered, “Young Madam, why did you come back so late? Everyone is waiting for you to have dinner!”
Roselynn said, “They can eat all they want. I didn’t ask them to wait for me!”
The Oatleys were at the dining table, dinner yet to begin. Jessica wore a bitter expression. Jennifer looked gloomy.
“I’m back,” Roselynn greeted and headed to her room.
Jennifer barked, “Stop right there!”
Roselynn stopped. “What’s up?”
“What’s up? Do you know what time it is? Has no one ever told you the rules of this house?!” Jennifer scolded.
Lucy and the servants trembled.
“It’s seven o’clock in the evening now, so what’s the matter?” Roselynn responded. “Isn’t it normal for me to come back at this time when I have something to attend to outside? I didn’t ask you to wait for me, did I?!”
“Blasphemy!” Jennifer slammed the table. “Look at your daughter-in-law. She doesn’t respect the dining table rules! We’ve all agreed to start dinner at 6:30 p.m., yet someone returned late without asking for leave. You deal with it yourself!”
Sebastian sighed, his eyes flashing with anger.
“Roselynn, we’ll overlook it this time. Just apologize and promise you won’t do it again.”
