Rebecca couldn't stand it any longer. "Theodore," she said, "this has nothing to do with you. You don't need to worry about it."

"I'm doing this for your own good!" Theodore frowned, reminding her.

Rebecca hung up and blacklisted the number. She felt better afterward.

Theodore was stunned. He realized Rebecca had hung up on him. His heart sank. He called Releen again. The system promptly informed him that Rebecca had blacklisted his new number!

Theodoreโ€™s face darkened. Anger burned within him. "How dare she?" he thought. "She keeps blocking my number. Is it because she's with Charlie? How shameless! She doesn't realize Charlie would never marry her, with her current status. She's embarrassing herself!"

Holding the phone, Theodoreโ€™s chest heaved violently. No one had ever enraged him so much. Rebecca was the first.

After a moment, he picked up the company phone and ordered, "Get me some new mobile phone cards!"

His assistant, Jude Dudley, heard this from outside and knew something was wrong. He quickly applied for new cards and delivered them to Theodore.

Theodore took a SIM card, unwrapped it with a cold face, and inserted it into his phone. He called Rebecca again. He was concise. "Rebecca, those online scandals are affecting the Edwards Group's reputation and stock. We must solve this immediately."

He didn't want to risk being blocked again. "Post a statement online saying you and Charlie are just friends, not having an affair. Also, let's go to the Civil Registry Office this afternoon to change the children's surnames back."

He hoped this would make Rebecca realize the seriousness of the situation and change the children's surnames, avoiding future trouble.

Frustrated, Rebecca didn't respond. She blocked his number again, thinking he was unwell.

Back at the Edwards Group, Theodore was surprised to find Rebecca had hung up on him again. He frowned and kept dialing, only to find the number blocked.

A surge of anger rose, but Theodore held it back. He took out a new card, installed it, and called again.

Seeing an unfamiliar number, Rebecca hung up and ignored it. Theodore kept dialing, but couldn't get through. This infuriated him. "Is Rebecca crazy?" he thought. "Just because she's with Charlie, she thinks she's important? Does she know her place?"

Rebecca remained unaware of, and unconcerned with, Theodoreโ€™s anger. After hanging up, she took out her scripts and continued studying them. They were good, but something felt lacking.

After much thought, she shared her idea with Lynn.

Lynn nodded. "These scripts are ordinary. There's a big gap between them and top-tier scripts. Good scripts are hard to get. Some actors get one early in their career, while others never do, even after decades. Besides performance, luck is crucial."

"But given your circumstances, there's a way to star in a good script," Lynn said.

Rebecca's eyes lit up. "What's that?"

"Buy the copyright, find someone to adapt it, and professionally customize the best script," Lynn replied concisely.

At the Aotori shooting base, Lynn explained, "Many scripts are adapted from novels. The novel market is vast, with diverse themes and settings. You can find a suitable novel on major websites. If you're willing to spend money, you can contact the author or buy adaptation rights, then have it adapted into a script."

"Got it," Rebecca agreed.

Over the next few days, Rebecca searched various websites, reading novels to find suitable content.

Another day passed. That night, Theodore reappeared at Carter Villa.

A panicked servant announced, "Mrs. Carter, Ms. Carter! Theodore's here again!"

"Ignore him. If he dares to break in, tell the bodyguards to throw him out!" Debra said calmly, applying a face mask.

Rebecca considered going out, but Debraโ€™s suggestion calmed her. She could ignore Theodore.

This continued for the next few days. The one-month cooling-off period expired, meaning they could officially divorce.

That morning, the family woke early, happy and hoping for a smooth process.

Rebecca checked the time, noting the Courthouse was about to open. She called Theodore.

Next door, Theodore was upset to receive Rebecca's call. He knew why she calledโ€”today was the end of the cooling-off period.

It was clear Rebecca couldn't wait to divorce him. Theodore found it ridiculous. Why? Had Charlie been nicer to her? Was sheโ€ฆso eager for love?

She had once been so obsessed with him. Thinking of the past, his heart ached slightly. He'd misunderstood Rebecca, allowing Charlie to take advantage. She craved love and was easily deceived.

"It doesn't matter," he thought. "Charlie's just playing with her. After the divorce, she'll realize he'll never marry her; she's just his mistress. She'll see the truth eventually. By then, the Edwards family matters will be resolved, and I can get her back."

His initial restlessness slowly subsided.
