Chapter 160

"Agree," Adrian typed in the group chat.

Bryce tagged Debra: "Mom, can you change it now?"

Debra quickly renamed the group chat. "I'll create accounts for Lily and Key later," she typed, a little happier now. "To track their progress until they're grown."

"Agree," Patrick replied.

"Thank you, Mom," Stacey added.

"Agree," Adrian and Bryce chimed in.

"Long live Mom! Agree!" Charlie enthused.

Stacey smiled, watching the cheerful banter die down. The warmth lingered even as she pushed Lillian and Kevin on the playground. Then she saw Jenny, with another adult.

Jenny approached, bending to tease Kevin. Stacey pulled Kevin close.

"Don't worry, I mean no harm," Jenny said.

"What do you want?" Stacey asked, tense.

"Can we talk? Just us two," Jenny said seriously.

"I don't think we have anything to talk about," Stacey said flatly.

"I want to talk about Theodore," Jenny persisted.

Stacey stared. Such nerve, she thought. "He and I are divorced. What happens between you and him is none of my business."

Jenny smiled. "I know. But I want to thank you for divorcing him. And if you do want to get back together… well, I won't give him up either. Let's see who wins his heart. I think I have a chance." Her eyes shone. "Theodore's nice to me. Much nicer than he was to you, though he hasn't noticed yet."

"What do you like about him?" Stacey asked, incredulous. Does he deserve to be loved?

Jenny's face lit up. "You don't like him anymore, right? It was a misunderstanding between you. But he and I… we're perfect. Great family backgrounds. A perfect match!" She grinned. "When I first saw him, I fell in love! He’s handsome, a gentleman. He took me to Zentiscape, it was amazing! He's considerate and gentle. I love him so much!"

"Wish you success," Stacey said flatly.

Jenny beamed. "Thank you! I'll try my best. But I hope you'll look after yourself and the kids. I… I might not be able to handle other people's children if I marry Theodore."

"Don't worry. They're mine. I'll never give them to Theodore," Stacey said coldly.

"Thank you," Jenny said happily.

Stacey took the children home, her bad mood clinging to her. Then, a WhatsApp video call – Hayden. She answered, surprised. Jeremy's face filled the screen. Her face softened. "Good evening, Jeremy."

Jeremy held up his tablet: "Becky, I miss you so much." He'd learned new words!

"I miss you too," Stacey smiled.

Jeremy's eyes widened. He wrote: "Can I go play with you?"

Stacey chuckled. "Of course! But does Daddy know? You need his permission."

Jeremy’s eyes lit up. He looked at Hayden, who was pretending to watch the news, then wrote: "He allows me to go."

Stacey burst out laughing. "Okay, but you'll have to wait. I might be filming a variety show. When I'm free, I'll pick you up, okay?"

Jeremy looked confused. Hayden, who had been listening, turned around. "Are you filming a variety show in a few days?"
