Chapter 186

"So, what are the special dishes in Daprein?" Debra's eyes shone with excitement.

Hayden grinned. "A few great restaurants. We should explore!"

"I can't wait to try the food! I rarely come here," Debra exclaimed.

"What kind of food?" Lillian piped up.

Kevin, equally enthusiastic though less informed, chimed in, "It's delicious!"

Stacey smiled, "Let's go!" She quickly grabbed toddler leashes, securing them on Lillian and Kevin. After packing her bag, they were off, the kids practically bouncing with anticipation โ€“ the leashes preventing a full-blown sprint. The elevator whisked them down; then it was into the car and on to their culinary adventure.

The restaurant's dรฉcor and ingredients were a delightful change from Zentiscape. Lillian and Kevin, eyes wide with wonder, explored every corner. Stacey handed the leashes to Gwen and Marie, the maids, for a brief respite.

"How long are you staying?" Hayden asked, smiling. "There's a fantastic amusement park in Nostralis. Perfect for Lillian and Kevin."

Debra nodded eagerly. "Yes! I read about it. Everyone says it's a must-see!"

"Absolutely," Hayden agreed, grinning.

"Have you brought Jeremy before?" Stacey asked.

Hayden nodded. "Yes! I have tons of pictures. Want to see?" He pulled out his phone, revealing a photo album bursting with memories. Debra's eyes sparkled. "Yes! Jeremy must have been adorable!"

Lillian and Kevin, sensing the excitement, scrambled onto the sofa, tiny hands waving. Marie and Gwen quickly lifted them for a better view.

"Grandma, I want to see!" Lillian whined, peeking around Debra. Kevin tugged at Stacey. Debra and Stacey simultaneously scooped up a child each, arranging them so everyone could see.

"Look, it's Jeremy!" Kevin shouted, pointing at a photo.

"Yes, that's him," Stacey smiled, squeezing Kevin's hand.

"Wow, this place looks amazing!" Lillian gasped.

"What's that?" Kevin asked, pointing at Jeremy by a Ferris wheel.

"That's a Ferris wheel!" Lillian squealed. "I've seen it on TV! It's beautiful!"

Lost in Jeremy's adventures, the kids giggled and gasped at every picture.

"Do you like the amusement park?" Hayden asked warmly.

"Yes!" Kevin bounced.

"Me too!" Lillian echoed, her face beaming.

"If you liked it, we can go tomorrow, or the day after!" Debra smiled.

"Wow, I can't wait!" Lillian exclaimed.

"Me neither!" Kevin added eagerly.

The waiter arrived with their food and high chairs. Stacey settled the kids in. Immediately, Lillian and Kevin began serving Hayden, mimicking little waiters. Hayden, surprised, pushed his bowl towards them. Stacey, momentarily hesitant, smiled instead, watching their sweet gesture.

"Thank you, Lillian. Thank you, Kevin," Hayden said, touched.

"You're welcome," Lillian replied politely.

"You're welcome!" Kevin shouted.

Hayden chuckled. "They're very well-mannered."

Stacey laughed. "They learned from Jeremy. He's smart and polite."

Hayden was impressed. "They have a great bond," he mused, a smile spreading across his face.

Debra nodded. "Definitely! With Jeremy, they get along so much better."

Lillian and Kevin chimed in, "Jeremy is awesome!"

The trip was transforming from a business trip into a delightful mini-vacation.

"We should let them play together more," Hayden suggested. "Jeremy can help them learn to write."

Debra's eyes lit up. "That's a wonderful idea! How did you teach him to read? He writes so well at three!"
