Chapter 80: At the Palazzo Villa

Gilmore's eyelids twitched, and his pupils contracted as he prepared to call Christine. Through his "God's Eye," he saw Emerson and Denton in the Carter family villa's reception room. Gilmore overheard Denton's plan to interrogate him that night. The scene then vanished instantly.

"Call him. He's to meet me now!" Denton ordered fiercely.

Claire realized the men were there for Gilmore.

"Grandpa, I won't! You promised I could have a boyfriend for two years before marrying Benjamin. If I perform well in the family business, the marriage is off. Remember?"

Denton remained firm. "You can have a boyfriend, but not him. He's Christine's boyfriend. I despise greedy men, and he deserves to die for deceiving my granddaughter!"
