After the meeting, Matthew and the others rushed back to Noria Group. Exiting the building, Charles still wore a teasing smile. Matthew’s patience snapped. "What are you laughing at?"

"I just thought Mrs. Grant was cool. Mr. Grant, what do you think?" Charles asked.

"It's none of my business," Matthew replied. However, he flashed back to Valerie's calm demeanor under everyone's angry glares. He'd expected her to be distraught, unable to defend herself. He'd underestimated her.

Charles wasn't letting it go. "Since it's none of your business, why did you rush downstairs halfway through the meeting? Don't tell me you just went to the restroom."

Annoyed, Matthew remained silent.

"Mr. Grant, it's not good to be unwilling to express yourself. Even if you admit you care about Mrs. Grant, I won't laugh at you…" Charles continued his relentless teasing, probing Matthew's limits.

Finally, Matthew grabbed Charles's tie. Charles, half a head shorter, stood on tiptoe, gasping for breath. He regretted his joke, about to beg for mercy, when a voice interrupted.

"Mr. Grant!"

Matthew stiffened. Turning, he saw Valerie, carrying a bag, watching him suspiciously. She'd just left the venue.

Valerie was surprised. Seeing Matthew's face, she smiled. "I thought you looked familiar. It's you! But why are you here?"

She remembered Matthew saying he was a driver. This was Noria Group; how could a driver be here? The suspicion in her eyes made Matthew's face even colder. After a pause, he said, "At work."

Valerie pointed at Charles. Matthew, realizing his hand was still on Charles's tie, released it, his expression unchanged. "I'm fixing his tie."

Charles was speechless. Fixing my tie? I was almost strangled! Why didn't I realize Mr. Grant is so good at making things up? He dared only think this, fearing Matthew would reveal his true identity.

Valerie's next words nearly shocked Charles into oblivion. Smiling, she said, "Hi, you must be Mr. Grant's leader, right? It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Mr. Grant's… I'm Matthew's wife. Thank you for taking care of him at work."

Leader? Charles froze. Who dares to be Mr. Grant's leader? I'm finished! Am I going to die? His pale face and frantic expression confused Valerie.

He wanted to deny being Matthew's leader, but Matthew put a hand on his shoulder and said gravely, "Sir, my wife is greeting you."

Charles broke out in a cold sweat.
