Chapter 128
Two more days passed. The atmosphere in the Langley family's main villa was grim. Core family members gathered in silence. The Langley family's situation worsened daily, with significant losses mounting. Calm was impossible; even the stubborn Margot felt shaken.
They had gathered to find a solution, but silence reigned. Finally, Christian tentatively asked, "Grandma, should we ask David and his family to return?"
Margot's face darkened. She had disowned David and his family only days ago. Recalling them would be a humiliating retraction. Her reputation and pride would suffer, but was there a better option?
After considering this, she grimly told Derek and Christian, "Go visit David and his family. Tell them we're willing to let them return and manage the Langley Group again."
Derek and Christian stiffened. They had believed seizing control of the Langley Group would grant them power over the family, but now they might have to relinquish it before even fully controlling it. Margot knew of their conflict with David's family, yet she sent them anyway. This was her admission of defeat, a desperate attempt at compromise. Reluctantly, they obeyed.
An hour later, they arrived at David's house. As they were about to enter, they saw Dustin emerging.
"It's Dustin!" Christian exclaimed, his face darkening.
Dustin, his expression sharp, asked indifferently, "Why are you here?"
"It's none of your business! We're here for David and his family. Move!" Christian retorted.
Bam! He was thrown thirty feet. Struggling to his feet, he recalled a similar incident.
"How dare you, Dustin?!" Derek, pointing angrily, was silenced by the sight of Dustin's Hell Guard. He could only demand an explanation.
Dustin coldly replied, "He was rude. Do it again, and I'll break his legs." Derek felt a chill.
Derek, helping the dazed Christian, darkly relayed Margot's message: "Mom says she's willing to give them another chance and return the Langley Group."
Dustin mocked, "Even now, she clings to her pride?" He was incredulous that Margot, the one who disowned them, would send this message, making it seem like a favor. How shameless!
Dustin's face turned cold and murderous. "Is that hag crippled? She can't come herself? Tell her this: if she wants David and his family back, she must come here with the entire Langley family!"
Derek grimaced. Margot's pride made this demand virtually impossible.
"You're an outsider! Mind your own business!" Derek shouted.
Dustin retorted, "Then watch your family burn." He dismissed them with his Hell Guard. Derek's face darkened further.
