Chapter 13

"Such arrogance!" An elderly physician rose from his seat, his face darkening. "You disrespect the Williams family? You must have powerful connections. Who are you to speak so?"

The physician stepped forward, his gaze fixed on Dustin. "Dr. Lewis," Amara said smoothly. "This is Dustin Fox, formerly an orphan adopted by us. He was later dismissed from the family and, for reasons I won't go into, harbors a grudge. He's here to cause trouble and disrupt this meeting with the Medical Sage."

She addressed the assembled physicians. "I deeply regret his presence. I apologize to all of you."

"Miss Amara, it's not your fault," a physician said. "You shouldn't be held responsible for this arrogant brat's actions."

"Ignorant fool! How dare you cause trouble here!" another physician exclaimed. "Chase him out! This is an important event!"

The crowd surged, condemning Dustin. He glared at Amara. Was this her true nature? Her ease in manipulating people… He found her tactics reprehensible.

"I paid my fee. No one can remove me," Dustin scoffed.

"How dare you?! Do you know who you're talking to?!" the physicians roared, enraged by his blatant disrespect. Many were socially prominent, from influential families.

Amara and Delia watched, seemingly pleased by Dustin's escalating conflict. They wanted to see him offend more people.

"You're a group of overblown, arrogant physicians," Dustin said coldly.

His words ignited a furious backlash. The physicians exploded, their anger bordering on violence. Simone watched, worried, unable to intervene. She couldn't comprehend Dustin's arrogance.

"Dustin, you have some nerve!" Amara sneered.

"Let Dr. Williams be!" Delia snapped.

Dustin kicked Alvin away.

"You brat!" Delia glared.

"Dustin Fox, is it? I swear, I'll make you pay for this humiliation!" Alvin spat, as Simone helped him up.

Dustin ignored him, further infuriating Alvin.

"Dustin, apologize! You're of low social standing! How dare you offend them?!" Amara yelled.

Dustin looked at her with disdain. "Do you think I'm still your puppet? You're not worthy of dictating my actions!"

Amara's face darkened.

"Do you think these physicians can treat Elijah? Hah! None of them can!" Dustin sneered. "No one can treat the person I injured!"

"You bastard! How dare you?!"

"Such insolence! I despise arrogance!"

The physicians' rage erupted again.

"Miss Amara, Miss Delia, bring your brother. We'll cure him before this arrogant brat!"

"Yes! We'll show him what we're capable of!"

Amara and Delia were delighted. Amara instructed Delia to bring Elijah, who was quickly wheeled in, sedated and asleep.

"Please, do your best," Amara said.

Louis White, an older physician, stepped forward confidently. After examining Elijah, he scoffed at Dustin. "Just a nerve injury."

"Please, cure him!" Amara urged.

Louis administered pills, and Elijah stirred. The physicians praised him. With pride, Louis waited for Elijah to wake.

"Open your eyes," he said.

Elijah opened his eyes, but immediately contorted in pain, screaming. Louis, Amara, and Delia were stunned.

"That's impossible! I've never failed!" Louis was shocked. The injury was minor; why were his pills ineffective? This was his first failure in decades.

Dr. Lewis, Alvin's teacher, a highly respected physician, stepped forward. He examined Elijah, his face grim.

He looked at Dustin gravely. "A ruthless technique! You damaged many nerves. A masterful attack, even for Lovellia's martial artists," he said coldly.

Amara and Delia were astonished. Was this trash actually so skilled?

"It's difficult, but I can handle it," Dr. Lewis chuckled, administering pills. However, Elijah coughed up blood and fainted. Dr. Lewis recoiled, pale and terrified. He looked at Dustin with disbelief and amazement.

Everyone was stunned. Even Dr. Lewis couldn't cure Elijah.

They stared at Dustin in shock. How strong was he? He was terrifying! Amara and Delia were furious.

"Dustin, what did you do?!"

"You're cruel!"

Dustin sneered. "I told you. No one can treat the person I injured."

"I refuse to believe no one can cure my brother!" Amara raged.

"Try," Dustin said nonchalantly. He planned to make them doubt their skills.
