Chapter 141

“What kind of disgraceful behavior is this, Irene?” the man asked, frowning. “Don’t forget you will soon be a member of the Aquila family. How dare you act this way?”

Irene looked at him indifferently. Hatred flashed in her eyes before disappearing.

“Oh, give up, Trevor Aquila,” she hissed icily. “I will never marry you. I will never become a member of your family!”

“Your marriage is arranged by your family. Given the situation with the West family, do you really think you can refuse? It’s better you behave and come with me to the Aquila family to await the wedding,” Trevor said with an icy smile. Irene’s pretty face flushed with anger.

“Get lost!” she shouted.

Trevor was enraged. “You want to do this the hard way, huh? Alright then. Drag her home!” he ordered.

One of the men in the bar immediately stepped forward. “Do you think you can drag a woman away against her will in public?” He wanted to win Irene’s favor, playing the white knight.

Several other men joined him. “Don’t be scared, Miss. With us here, they can’t do anything to you.”

Trevor’s face twisted in mockery. He detested these men. With a look, his underlings attacked. In a few blows, the men helping Irene lay groaning on the floor, their limbs broken. Trevor’s men held nothing back.

Fear silenced the bar; no one dared intervene.

“Take her away!” Trevor commanded.

His men moved to grab Irene, who prepared to dodge. Suddenly, the jazz club fell silent. Someone was approaching.

“Do you have a death wish, too?” Trevor glared at the newcomer, impatient and frustrated. Irene also watched. The handsome man had been sitting nearby; she’d felt his gaze earlier. She didn’t see him as different from the others—another man overestimating himself. She held no hope he could help, only wanting to escape the ensuing chaos.

“I’m talking to you! Get out of here! Or I’ll make sure you can’t even crawl out of this place!” Trevor glared disdainfully.

But the man ignored him, continuing to approach.

“You really want to die?”

Trevor’s face turned cold. He gestured to his underlings. The five men faced Dustin. Trevor didn’t consider Dustin a threat; he was sure his men would easily beat him. Irene frowned; she sensed Dustin was different.

The five men moved closer, but before they could strike, cries of agony erupted as they fell to the floor, motionless.

“What?!” Trevor’s brows knitted in shock, his expression turning fierce. Irene was stunned. Dustin… seemed skilled.

“Punk, you really want to die? Do you think you can defy the Aquila family?” Trevor said icily, ordering more men to attack.

But before he finished speaking, Dustin vanished. In a flash, he stood before Trevor.

“What?!” Trevor was terrified. “Who… who are you?”

Dustin didn’t answer. He remained before Trevor for a moment before moving. With a crash, Trevor fell, eyes wide, a line of blood across his throat.

“The destruction of the Aquila family will begin with the deaths of all their descendants,” Dustin said evenly.

The jazz club was completely silent; everyone stared, mouths agape. Irene was stunned, taking a long moment to recover.
