Chapter 51

After losing fifty million dollars in the stock market, Amara was dejected, and a pall hung over the Wyatt family villa. Fifty million dollars was a significant sum, though not financially crippling, it severely shook Amara's confidence—a considerable blow to such a strong woman. The Zimmer family remained a threat, actively preparing to attack the Wyatts. Discouraged and drained, the Wyatt sisters lacked the energy to confront the problem.

Witnessing her sisters' dejection, Clara frowned. Using Amara's powers temporarily, she swiftly made arrangements, mobilizing company staff to counter the Zimmer family's impending attack. Though capable, this left her exhausted for days. Clara pondered the situation, quickly arriving at a conclusion: "Dustin Fox…" she muttered.

Unlike her sisters, Clara was calculating. "Dustin is definitely hiding something," she thought, her gaze sharpening, "He wasn't just useless trash relying on the Wyatt family…" "What's happening to the Wyatt family is definitely connected to him!"

Reaching this conclusion, Clara made several calls, issuing instructions. Donning her coat, she took the Wyatt Group president's car and instructed the driver to depart, intending to visit the Langley family, echoing her sisters' prior actions.

Arriving at the Langley villa within the hour, she used the driver's phone to call Dustin.

"Clara Wyatt, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Dustin's voice, instantly recognizing her, answered. He was acutely aware of Clara's every move.

Clara's face stiffened slightly, though she showed little surprise. "Come outside," she said icily.

Minutes later, Dustin stood before her. He knew Clara was the sharpest of the Wyatt sisters, exceptionally clear-headed. Both were highly calculating, a fact that had fueled their lifelong animosity. Clara had always looked upon Dustin with disdain.

"Dustin, I have to admit… you're quite capable!" Clara said coldly.

"You flatter me," Dustin chuckled.

"Do you think I'm complimenting you?" Clara's face froze. "Dustin, your capabilities stem from my father's tutelage. Instead of using that knowledge to help the Wyatt family, you use it against us. Don't you feel even a shred of shame?"

Dustin frowned, annoyed. How dare she claim he'd done nothing for the Wyatts? He'd toiled tirelessly, fighting countless battles to protect them, only to be mocked and accused of faking his injuries. He'd risked his life repeatedly—wasn't that enough recompense? How could she say such a thing?

"I know you're not useless trash. You defeated the William family's Blackguard, intimidated the Williams, and even control the stock market…" Clara stated pointedly.

"But regardless of how the Wyatt family treated you, your actions prove you're an ingrate! The Wyatt family gave you your life! They are your masters! You should dedicate yourself entirely to their service!" Dustin's frown deepened.

His adoptive father had saved his life, a debt unrelated to the Wyatt sisters. His father had even told him he could leave if he grew weary. Yet, Clara painted him as nothing more than the Wyatts' stray dog.

Dustin laughed coldly. "I've done enough for the Wyatt family. More than enough to repay you!" He'd saved the five Wyatt sisters' lives countless times.

"If you're here to berate me for being ungrateful, save your breath," Dustin said frostily. "I don't have time to waste on you. Leave."

Clara glared at him icily, then a mocking expression replaced her anger.

"If we'd known this would happen, we would have left you to die! I've had enough! I'm here to offer you something."

Clara produced a check and tossed it towards Dustin.

"This check is worth five million dollars," Clara said coldly. "I don't care how resentful you feel. This is your compensation. Take it and enjoy the rest of your life…"

She paused, her eyes blazing. "Listen to me, Dustin Fox. I want you to leave Rivenesco and never return!"

The check landed on the ground, ignored by Dustin. His face contorted with rage. Clara had come with five million dollars to banish him from Rivenesco.

Dustin laughed mockingly. "Do you think five million dollars compensates for the ten-plus years I dedicated to you? Clara, what do you think you're doing? Charity? Who do you think I am? Without me, the Wyatt family wouldn't exist! You and your sisters would be dead!"

He seethed, wanting to reveal everything and demand justice, but felt it pointless. The Wyatts would never acknowledge his sacrifices. His efforts had been wasted.

Clara remained calm, speaking only after Dustin finished his outburst.

"Are you done? If so, take the check. Five million dollars is a significant sum. Don't stand there recounting your supposed service. It was your duty. Take the check and leave!"

She glared threateningly. "Don't make me take action. You'll regret it!"

Dustin found the interaction exhausting. What was the point? The Wyatt sisters were self-absorbed, incapable of seeing him as a person. They only wanted him to kneel and submit to their will.

Without a word, Dustin turned to leave, ignoring the check.

Clara's face was cold as she watched him go. "Is this your choice?" she asked, frowning. "You'll regret it, Dustin Fox!"

She got into the car, avoiding his gaze.

"Tell the company shareholders that I'm officially starting work today. I'll be implementing reforms. Tell them to prepare themselves," Clara said calmly.
