Chapter 86

Jack's eyes lit up at Bella's words. He loved beautiful women, but had curbed his impulses since nearly causing the Zimmer family's downfall through his obsession with Simone. He'd almost died in that incident. However, Bella's offer intrigued him.

"What kind of beauty? Where is she from? What's her family background?" he asked cautiously.

"Don't worry, Mr. Zimmer. She's unremarkable—a newcomer seeking a break in acting. She was an extra on one of my projects. Now that I'm giving her a chance, she's eager to succeed," Bella said, smiling.

"Alright then. We'll see," Jack replied indifferently. He would make his own judgment. Bella aimed to mend the rift between their families, but Jack wouldn't be blindly manipulated. He'd assumed Bella would offer herself, but he found himself intrigued by this mysterious woman, particularly given Bella's praise. At worst, he could refuse to help Bella after… a certain point.

"Please wait a moment, Mr. Zimmer," Bella said, exiting the private room. Camille was calling.

"Take the elevator to the fifth floor. I'll be waiting," she said coldly. Camille emerged from the elevator, her face darkening upon seeing Bella.

"Bella," she said.

Camille had been devastated when the investor replaced her as the lead actress in a new fantasy series—a role she'd finally earned after years as a supporting actress. After an initial call, Bella offered her a role in exchange for compliance. Camille, desperate, had come to the Bellini Hotel.

"The investor is very disappointed. He wouldn't even give you an extra role. I pleaded before he agreed to a supporting role, with one condition," Bella said condescendingly.

"Tell me what to do, Bella. As long as it doesn't involve selling my body, I'll do anything!" Camille declared.

"Don't worry. Just have a drink with a wealthy man," Bella said, smiling falsely.

Camille, already present, was trapped. Bella sought to destroy Camille's image—revenge against Dustin, Camille's lover. She wanted to see Dustin's reaction.

Camille hesitated. She was naive, but not stupid.

"Will I really just have a drink with him?"

"I guarantee it. You'll just spend some time with him. I'll be right there. What are you afraid of?" Bella urged. "Just a drink, and you get the supporting role. What are you waiting for?"

Camille, biting her lip, nodded slowly.

"Pull yourself together. Lose that gloomy look before we go in," Bella said, leading Camille into the private room. "Mr. Zimmer, she's here," she said to Jack, smiling.

Jack's eyes burned with desire. The woman appeared innocent and beautiful. Even accustomed to beautiful women, he found himself tempted. Camille's refreshing innocence masked an underlying sensuality—a rare combination. His lust ignited instantly.

"Will she do, Mr. Zimmer?" Bella asked.

"Yes, absolutely!" Jack beamed.

Bella shoved the nervous Camille toward Jack, pouring her a glass of wine and subtly slipping powder into it from her ring.
