Chapter 88

Bella was overwhelmed by shock and confusion. It was only Dustin. Why was Jack so terrified?

"This has nothing to do with me! Bella arranged it all. She called me here! I knew nothing! She drugged Simone's sister!" Jack, terrified, bowed repeatedly as he explained to Dustin. Bella was furious.

"Stop begging!" she snapped. "Jack Zimmer, you're still the Zimmer heir. Begging a discarded Wyatt outcast is unbecoming!" Her disdain was palpable. She was appalled that she'd considered him a worthy opponent, even attempting to bribe him with a woman.

"Jack, you're spineless!" Bella said coldly.

Jack glared at her. "Bella, you stupid woman!" he cried angrily. "You don't know the person you've provoked!"

Bella laughed, then looked at Dustin with disgust. "He's a useless servant, kicked out of the Wyatt family. Only the Zimmers would consider him a threat!"

She felt a little embarrassed that Dustin had witnessed this, but not the least bit afraid. She'd held nothing but disdain and contempt for him for years, considering him utterly insignificant.

To Jack, Bella's dismissal of Dustin seemed the height of idiocy. Bella was unafraid, but Jack was terrified. Dustin was the head of Hell Hall, the King of Hades himself—the ruler of the underworld! Jack felt immense regret. He should never have come. Any bravery he possessed vanished. He feared Dustin could wipe out the entire Zimmer family with a word.

"Get out!" Dustin spat.

Relieved, Jack scrambled to his feet and fled, trembling, looking as if he were running for his life.

"Bella, I'll settle this later!" he hissed, passing her on his way out.

Bella was livid.

Once Jack had gone, Dustin regarded Bella with an icy gaze. She met his eyes unflinchingly.

"Yes, I stole Camille's lead role. I lured her here with a supporting role to get back at you," she said with a sinister laugh. "I wanted to destroy her! And Simone too. I want all the women in your life ruined!" Her look was vicious.

Dustin's gaze was cold and unforgiving. Bella was truly evil. Camille was still a student, yet Bella had set her up with a creep.

"You're brazen!" Dustin said icily, his voice a threat. "Aren't you afraid I'll kill you?"

Bella chuckled mockingly, her gaze contemptuous. "Dustin, what have you done to the Wyatt family since being kicked out?" she asked sarcastically. "No matter what we Wyatt sisters have done, you've barely lifted a finger. Every single member is still alive and well."

"Anyone who's not a fool can see that. You don't dare act against the Wyatt family!" Bella said confidently. She felt she'd uncovered the truth, hence her provocation. She wasn't afraid of him.
