Chapter 98

After resolving the crew's conflict, Horace personally apologized to Camille and several producers.

"Mina Camille," Horace said, bowing, "my oversight led to this farce. I sincerely apologize."

Camille, panicked, waved her hands. "No, no, it was my fault! I didn't handle my relationships well. How could it be your fault, Mr. Timm?" she stammered. She was shocked by the famous director's apology. She wondered what power Dustin possessed to humble the "Steely Director." This completely shattered her understanding of the world.

The first day of filming The Legend of the Swordsman 4 ended with a complete crew restructuring.

That evening, Dustin and Simone took Camille to a food truck to cheer her up.

"Dustin, Simone," Camille said dejectedly, "I'm a newcomer, inexperienced, but I want to seize this opportunity."

Dustin said seriously, "Camille, to survive in this industry, you have much to learn." He didn't work in entertainment, but understood its complexity. Acting skill wasn't always paramount.

Camille nodded thoughtfully. The area around the food truck grew quiet. Dustin frowned, glancing toward the street. A large, hostile group approached.

They looked menacing. Dustin narrowed his eyes. The leader was a thug with dyed yellow hair, a baseball bat over his shoulder, and a woman on his arm—Rachel, who had insulted Camille earlier. Clearly, she sought revenge.

The food truck's patrons fled; even the owner hid. Dozens surrounded the truck. Simone held her phone, intending to call the police.

"Call the police, and I'll kill you!" the yellow-haired man sneered, pointing his bat at Simone.

Rachel sneered, approaching the truck. "We meet again," she said coldly, glaring at Dustin and Camille. "Mr. Fox, you were impressive on set. Let's see how tough you are here," she mocked.

Dustin's status must have been high; otherwise, Horace wouldn't have been so respectful. A single word from Horace had shattered Rachel's dreams. After years of struggle, she'd reached the industry's fringes. Her acting wasn't bad; she'd landed a role in The Legend of the Swordsman 4, albeit a small one. She aimed to advance her career with the series, but Camille's arrival had cost her the lead, relegating her to a supporting role. Her outburst at Camille stemmed from this fury. Dustin's arrival had humiliated her, destroying her dignity and career. She cared about nothing but revenge. The yellow-haired man, her boyfriend, had underworld connections. Enraged by her story, he'd gathered dozens to attack Dustin.

"Mr. Fox, you're impressive, but everyone has limits," Rachel taunted. "Can you handle my world?" Even a big fish struggled in a small pond. She doubted Dustin could defend against dozens in Rivenesco.
