Chapter 155
When Lucius spoke the names aloud, Dustin's terrifying killing intent blanched the West family members.
"Initially insignificant, these forces only gained power after the Fox family supported them," Lucius said, his voice laced with hatred. "Some are now very influential in Lovellia, having risen by destroying the Fox family! The Fox family's wealth surpassed that of entire nations! They divided and plundered the family's assets to fuel their rapid ascent."
Dustin took a deep breath, suppressing his rage.
"Master Fox," Lucius said earnestly, "you are the Fox family's sole survivor, its only hope. All its former followers look to you for leadership and vengeance."
"The Fox family had many enemies," Lucius continued. "Many are now powerful, some wielding absolute authority. The best course is to conceal your identity, plan carefully, and strike only when certain of success. I will inform the remaining loyalists; they will support you wholeheartedly."
Dustin raised an eyebrow. "Are there still forces loyal to the Fox family?"
"Yes! Many allies depended on the Fox family," Lucius explained. "Some betrayed them, but many remained loyal. Most were eliminated after the massacre. The survivors are in a precarious position, but knowing you survived, they will do anything you command."
Dustin nodded silently. He would deal with the betrayers and reward the loyal. However, he disregarded Lucius's advice to remain hidden and build strength secretly. As the King of Hades, head of the powerful Hell Hall, he saw no need for such subterfuge.
A loud crash from outside the West family villa broke his reverie.
"Irene West, get out here!" A furious voice boomed from the entrance.
A thirty-year-old man, Wade Aquila, the eldest son of the Aquila family, stood before the villa, pounding on the door. Behind him, several men carried a stretcher bearing Trevor, the man Dustin had killed at the bar.
Wade, enraged by his brother's death, had arrived with the body to demand justice. "Irene, come out! Or I'll destroy the West family!" he roared.
The West family members' faces fell.
"Master Fox, excuse me," Lucius said to Dustin. "I'll handle this."
"Grandpa, this might be difficult," Irene murmured. "It's a serious problem."
Lucius scoffed. "How serious? The Aquila family will show me respect."
Dustin said indifferently, "It's not a problem. I killed Trevor Aquila."
"What?!" Lucius stared, speechless.
The West family exchanged panicked glances. This would surely provoke the Aquila family. They were no match for them.
Lucius sighed. "Master Fox, you can't appear. Leave this to me." He then led the West family to the entrance.
