Chapter 164
Dustin sneered. "Certainly not. Tell me, and I'll spare one life. Refuse, and I annihilate your entire family."
Brennan's face hardened, but he sighed and whispered, "The person who gave the orders that day had a red spider lily tattoo on his hand." Dustin's face froze. Many organizations used tattoos to mark members; it was common. But he'd never heard of one using a red spider lily on the back of the hand.
Dustin turned to Drake. Drake bowed. "My Liege, I've never heard of such an organization."
"Look into it," Dustin said.
"Understood," Drake replied, then left.
"Anything else?" Dustin asked Brennan, who looked conflicted. Finally, he said regretfully, "If I could turn back time, I would have prevented the Aquila family's involvement." Dustin's face darkened. Brennan was now useless.
"How did you obtain my father's skull?" Dustin asked.
Brennan hesitated. The Winter family of Central Harbor's Seven Clans was powerful in Lovellia. But he'd lost the ability to protect his own family; why protect their secret? He told Dustin the truth.
"Bianca Winter" Dustin's face turned icy. He remembered her—proud, beautiful, and contemptuous of him during her visits to the Wyatt family. She'd treated him like a beggar, unworthy of notice. She had been secretly manipulating events, acting for the Wyatt sisters.
Dustin didn't need to guess. His face remained calm, but lethal. "Kill them," he said.
A Hell Guard swiftly killed Brennan. The Panther Gang then slaughtered the remaining Aquila family members. Only Brennan's grandson survived, fainting from terror.
"Send this boy to a safe location and keep him under constant surveillance," Dustin ordered. He didn't spare the boy out of mercy or second thoughts about destroying the Aquila family. He never spared loose ends. He spared the boy because he had a plan. Lucas had once pressured a family into revealing information; three generations were subsequently wiped out. Brennan had done the same; the mastermind would likely act similarly. Sending someone to kill the boy would provide Dustin with more clues.
"Understood, Mr. Fox!" Blake said, taking the boy.
Watching Blake leave, Dustin summoned Hell Guards. "Keep a close eye on Blake and his sister. Report anything immediately." They were connected to the Aquila family; the mastermind might target them. Dustin would simply wait.
