Chapter 171

Dustin's words ignited an uproar. The crowd roared: "Such arrogance!" "Shameless fool!" "Who do you think you are, reckless brat?" Elite martial artists leaped to their feet, showering him with furious abuse. Lannopolis had seen its share of notorious martial artists, but none were as audacious as Dustin. With powerful elites, the Martial League, and Lannopolis's strongest fighters present, most would struggle to speak, let alone stand their ground.

Bianca sneered, "Dustin Fox, do you know where you are? Think you're still in Rivenesco? Dismissing these elites is one thing, but Mr. Cain? You're not just arrogant, you're laughable."

Dustin remained unfazed. "National Hero? Lannopolis's strongest? I'm unimpressed," he said dismissively.

Rage exploded. The elite martial artists barely restrained themselves from attacking.

In the courtyard, Victor seethed. He detested arrogant young martial artists like Dustin and would show no leniency during the upcoming trial. Bianca smirked, "What an irredeemable fool!" She found Dustin's self-destruction both disgusting and entertaining.

Someone shouted, "Enough words, young man! Face the Blades and Fire trial if you're so bold!"

Dustin chuckled disdainfully. The challenge was trivial, but he wouldn't play their game. He wouldn't submit to their judgment. Without hesitation, he stomped on the blades.

Boom!

The ground shook. The blades shattered like glass. In seconds, the field was in ruins.

Angry shouts erupted, but some martial artists exchanged uneasy glances. To destroy a blade field with a single stomp was a feat few could accomplish. Even Victor's brow furrowed. Such power in someone so young was rare, even in Lovellia.

Dustin moved to the fire wall, remaining calm. He swept his arm, and a gust of wind extinguished the flames, leaving only embers.

This time, the elites lost control, unleashing a torrent of insults. Victor's face darkened. "Gauntlet of Fists!" he commanded.

Eight elite martial artists stepped forward, radiating menace and murderous intent. Their fury was palpable. An outsider who had destroyed the Aquila family, repeatedly defied the trials, and insulted them, was intolerable.

One said coldly, "No one will go easy on you, boy. Prepare to be destroyed."

Usually, those who survived the trial were respected for their courage and skill; punishment followed a formal trial. But Dustin had insulted everyone, trampled their pride, and provoked their wrath. There would be no mercy.
