Elisa was utterly perplexed. Hell Hall was stronger than the Seven Clans? This was incomprehensible. Dustin, representing Hell Hall—how could it be?
"Miss Elisa, you should apologize," Robin sighed. "Hell Hall is incredibly powerful..."
Elisa's face hardened. Even after a long silence, she remained resolute. Apologizing to Dustin was unthinkable. How could she apologize to the person she once despised?
"Apologize?" Myst sneered coldly. "She insulted My Liege. An apology is insufficient. If he weren't so merciful, I would have killed you." Dustin had permitted Myst to strike Elisa, but not to kill her.
'Damn it!' Elisa thought, filled with dread. 'They should all die!'
The Wyatt sisters, Lucas's daughters, were protected; Dustin wouldn't betray his teacher.
"Slap yourself, or I will!" Myst snapped. "Fifty slaps, and you have forty-eight left!"
Dustin observed from the sidelines. Elisa, accustomed to haughtiness, deserved punishment. She remained motionless, her face darkening. Robin, unable to bear the sight, intervened.
"Sir, Madam," Robin bowed to Dustin. "I'm Robin Turner of the Lotus Sect, and I apologize on her behalf. Miss Elisa is... frail. She cannot endure forty-eight slaps. Please be merciful." Dustin regarded him indifferently.
"You're Robin Turner of the Lotus Sect?"
"I am."
"Who do you think you are? You have no place here," Dustin said coldly.
Robin stiffened.
"Do you know who you're talking to? Disrespect me, and I'll kill you!" Myst's chilling tone made Robin tremble. Her strength was evident. Her address of Dustin as "My Liege," coupled with her appearance and demeanor, led Robin to a swift realization.
"You're Myst, one of Hell Hall's five Dragon Guards!" He also recognized Dustin.
Fear gripped Robin. He glanced at Elisa, cursing her silently. She had offended the King of Hades! If she wished to die, why involve the Lotus Sect?
"Miss Elisa, apologize," Robin urged.
"What did you say?" Elisa scowled, ready to erupt.
"Apologize!" Robin snapped.
Elisa was stunned, then enraged. The Lotus Sect served the Wyatt family; how dare a servant rebuke his master?
"And if I refuse?" Elisa challenged, sneering at Dustin. "Don't think I'll bow to Hell Hall just because…" She mocked him. "Hell Hall only has a branch in Lannopolis, and few are here. If you all die, no one will know."
