Listen to this chapter:

In the living room of the Wyatt family villa in Rivenesco, Margaret looked glum. Opposite her, Amara dialed a number, the line met with a mechanized voice: "The number you have dialed is not answering. Please try again later..." This repeated each time. Amara's face darkened.

"Still can't get through?" Margaret asked with concern.

Amara sighed. "What's Elisa doing? Why isn't she answering her phone?"

"She said she wanted to cash in all her chips and unite the underground in Lannopolis. She told us to wait for her return with good news. Then, we lost contact," Margaret said, her face paling. The situation felt eerily familiar. Her daughter, Bianca, had acted similarly, confidently, only to vanish without a trace, even with the Winter family's resources. Now, the same thing had happened to Elisa.

"Do you think something happened to her?" Margaret's worry intensified.

"Aunt Margaret, call the Winter family in Lannopolis. Ask them what's going on with Elisa," Amara urged, equally worried.

Margaret immediately placed the call. A moment later, she ended it, her face grim. "They said Elisa led a team of elite fighters to a plaza in Lannopolis's city center. They've lost contact with everyone. They sent people, but found nothing, no leads from surveillance." Amara scowled, raising her phone to contact the Chandler family, a family serving under the Wyatts in Lannopolis. Again, only an automated voice answered, stating the phone was switched off. This was true for several Chandler family members.

Amara huffed, frustrated. She and Margaret were certain Elisa was in trouble. "Robin Turner of the Lotus Sect went with her. My call won't reach him either," Amara muttered after another unanswered call. "Dustin is a curse. How could Elisa just disappear?" Her fury was evident.

After the Wyatt family's return to power, their influence had expanded significantly. Eliminating Dustin should have been effortless, yet Amara hadn't acted, focusing on expanding the family's influence. Bianca, cunning and scheming, and Elisa, despite her foolishness, commanded the Chandler family and the Lotus Sect, manipulating other Lannopolis forces. Neither should have failed against Dustin, yet both had vanished. Neither the Winter nor Wyatt families could find any trace. This was preposterous.

Furthermore, the Wyatt family's expansion efforts had faltered. They'd been on the verge of destroying the Zimmer family, but something had shifted; the Zimmer family had inexplicably become far more powerful, attracting massive investments, rivaling the Wyatts, and expanding into Lannopolis, now more than ten times stronger than before.

"It seems Dustin isn't so easily dealt with," Margaret said darkly. She'd previously dismissed him as insignificant, unworthy of her attention. She never anticipated his transformation into such a devious adversary.

"We can't continue like this, Aunt Margaret. We need to deal with Dustin, and make him tell us where Bianca and Elisa are!" Amara declared solemnly.
