Chapter 82

After Dustin administered nine pills to Bella, she reacted immediately. Dustin had caused Bella's insanity; he had poisoned her. This is why, when Dylan later gave her pills, they were ineffective and worsened her condition. Dustin used mostly the same ingredients as Dylan, but the effects were vastly different. Bella didn't spasm, but her eyes gradually cleared.

"Where am I? Why am I here?" she asked, looking around in a daze.

"He cured her!" the crowd exclaimed. The renowned physician, Dylan, had been unable to help Bella, but Dustin had succeeded. A top-grade physician couldn't compare to this young man.

Dylan's face darkened. Dustin had cured Bella. This time, even Dylan couldn't deny it; the witnesses had seen everything. He found it hard to accept his defeat.

Delia was stunned. Once she understood what had happened, a conflicted expression crossed her face. Bella's recovery was good news, but Delia couldn't feel happy. She had bet with Dustin that if she lost, she would apologize. She'd made the bet confidently, but now she couldn't bring herself to apologize.

"How do you feel, Bella?" Delia asked, approaching to help Bella up.

"I feel like I slept a long time and I can't remember much" Bella said, rubbing her temples. Her last memory was meeting Dustin; everything after that was blank. Dustin had intentionally prevented her full recovery, keeping a trick up his sleeve.

Soon, Bella noticed Dustin.

"What did you do to me?!" she screamed.

"Miss Bella, Dustin cured you. Is that how you thank him? Aren't you being ungrateful?" Simone defended Dustin.

"He cured me?" Bella scoffed. "I'm not sick! Besides, he's trash. He couldn't compare to the lowest-grade physician. How could he possibly know anything about medicine?" Bella's words burned Dylan's face, and the others stared in astonishment.

Chapter 82 (Continued)

Dustin couldn't compare to the lowest-grade physician? The man she called "trash" had completely defeated Dylan. Didn't that mean Dylan was inferior to "trash"?

"Stop, Bella," Delia interrupted quickly. "Let's go." She grabbed Bella and tried to leave.

"Wait!" Dustin said teasingly. "Delia, aren't you forgetting something?"

She was focused on leaving. She remembered her aggressive behavior during their bet, his haughtiness and arrogance. He understood her character and wasn't about to let her off easily.

Delia's face darkened.

"Dustin, do you feel good about making things difficult for a weak woman like me?" she hissed, attempting to guilt him. "The Wyatt family saved and cared for you, and you want me to apologize? You'll be punished for this."

"Dustin, you want Delia to apologize? Who do you think you are, you ungrateful bastard?!" Bella shouted furiously.

"Shut up!" Dustin glared at them. His fierce gaze made Bella tremble. She recognized the look—it was frightening—but couldn't place it. An inexplicable fear gripped her.
