Chapter 122: Make Stephanie Apologize

Rachel was afraid that if she spoke to Stephanie and the others, they would attack her. She nervously turned her head and said, “Mya, don’t bother with them. They’re just a bunch of lunatics. The more you engage with them, the more excited they get.”

As expected, after Myrna chimed in, the girl who had just defended Stephanie immediately said with pride, “Ever heard of Sparkling Gems?”

“That bracelet of Stephie’s was from Sparkling Gems, worth hundreds of thousands and required a reservation to purchase. It was a birthday gift, specifically customized for Stephie by her mother at Sparkling Gems. Hand it over immediately, or we will call the police.”

Myrna squinted. The items from Sparkling Gems weren’t considered expensive at tens of thousands; that was possibly the lowest price range within the brand. The series she designed were usually limited editions, and the price started at least in the seven figures. Judging by the value of the diamonds she used, quite a few were worth eight figures. A six-figure one? There really wasn’t!

The two sides were still arguing, with Rachel the most agitated. She was engaged in a heated argument with the other party, almost spitting as she spoke and gesticulating wildly.

Suddenly, Stephanie let out a cry of surprise.

“That bracelet!”

Everyone’s gaze followed her words and simultaneously turned to Rachel’s wrist. Rachel was wearing her school uniform today, with a silver bracelet on her fair wrist. When she didn’t raise her hand, the bracelet was hidden by her sleeve, unnoticed. Only when she lifted her hand could one see that she also had a bracelet on her wrist—a bracelet from Sparkling Gems.

“That was my bracelet.”

Stephanie, looking rather upset, quickly walked over, grabbed Rachel’s hand, rolled up her sleeve, and examined the bracelet on Rachel’s wrist. Upon looking, she was stunned.

Rachel had also snapped back to reality, forcefully pulling her hand away, her face red with anger: “What are you doing? What gives you the right to grab my hand? This is the bracelet Mya gave me, not your bracelet. Stop talking nonsense!”

The companion next to Stephanie thought she had found the lost bracelet and immediately seized on Rachel’s words to mock, “Oh, so Myrna stole the bracelet and put it here with you.”

“You…you farted!” Rachel was choked with anger. The bracelet on her hand was a gift from Mya at the start of the school year. Stephanie had just lost her bracelet; how could it possibly be the one on her hand?

At that moment, Myrna walked over, her hand gently resting on Rachel’s shoulder, silently comforting her. Then, lifting her eyelids, she looked at the stunned Stephanie with cold eyes and said in a deep voice, “Take a good look, is this bracelet yours?”

Stephanie bit her lip, feeling both embarrassed and angry. She had just realized that the bracelet Rachel was wearing was not hers. Rachel’s bracelet had a tiny signature on the pendant—the letter S. Items from Sparkling Gems only had this mark if they were personally designed by S. Her own bracelet was just a regular product of Sparkling Gems.

Stephanie took a deep breath. No matter how she looked at it, she didn’t think Rachel could afford a bracelet designed by S, let alone wear it so casually. It was probably a fake bought online. But she really made a mistake this time. She could only lower her eyelashes and open her mouth in humiliation: “No, it was me who got it wrong.”

Myrna squinted, her height advantage making Stephanie feel oppressed. She spoke lightly, “Stephanie, I don’t know where you lost your bracelet, but clearly it has nothing to do with me. You’re causing trouble for no reason. I can let it slide, but you must apologize to Rachel. Otherwise, we’ll call Terrell to sort this out.”
