Chapter 199: Who Is Your Teacher?

Just then, the light above the operating room door changed from red to green. Yvette couldn’t help but step forward, nervously asking, “Is Alfi coming out?”

“It should have been,” Cedric replied. He was just as nervous, but after glancing at Mr. Larson, who was calm enough to fully trust Ms. Stark, he silently swallowed his words. God bless, hopefully Ms. Stark could work her magic and save Mr. Alfredo’s leg. He didn’t ask for Mr. Alfredo to have healthy legs like a normal child, at least not to lose his left leg directly because of this accident.

The operating room door swung open with a bang from the inside. They saw a group of doctors in white coats come out first. But when the doctor came out, he didn’t rush to report the results to the patient’s family. Instead, he walked out of the operating room one by one and stood outside, as if waiting for someone.

Finally, a slender figure stepped out, walking in the light of the operating room. Yvette saw her take off her mask, revealing an extremely young face.

At first glance, although her beauty was stunning, one could tell she was not very old, possibly even under twenty years old. How did a little girl end up in the operating room? Still wearing a set of surgical scrubs. What on earth was Melcester General Hospital doing? Gone mad?

Myrna tiredly removed her mask; the delicate, fair skin on her face was so tender that the edges of the mask had left two red marks. The reddened areas of skin were slightly raised, indicating a severe allergic reaction. It looked shocking. But she didn’t care; she took off her gloves again and threw them, along with the face mask, into a nearby trash can. Her expression was tired, but her eyes were relaxed as she spoke to a group of doctors outside the operating room.

“I wanted to handle his discharge procedures so he could recover at home. Is that possible?”

A few hours ago, the head of orthopedics would have definitely thought she was messing around again. After witnessing her surgical skills firsthand, he had no doubts about Myrna, and one could even say that he admired her superior skills from the bottom of his heart.

“With you here, of course, it’s possible. I’ll have the nurse prepare his discharge papers in a moment.”

After he finished speaking, the fervor in his eyes was hard to conceal. He asked, “Ms. Stark, if it’s not too much trouble, may I ask who taught you your medical skills?”

That was amazing! He admitted defeat wholeheartedly. So I was curious where she had learned all this at such a young age.

The corners of Myrna’s eyes lifted slightly, mirroring Calvin’s eyebrow-raising gesture. She took off her surgical gown and responded with a slightly rogueish air, “Not very convenient.”

Although the head of orthopedics showed a disappointed expression, he didn’t mean to blame her. He immediately said, “It’s okay; everyone has their own experiences and secrets. I was just asking casually; if it’s inconvenient, never mind.”

“Hmm,” Myrna responded, her raven-black eyelashes slightly drooping, covering her eyes. She was a bit tired, which made her look somewhat disheveled and wild. It wasn’t that she didn’t speak up; it was indeed inconvenient.

After speaking a few more words to her, the orthopedic orderly went to deal with the trivial matters after the surgery. At that moment, Calvin had already walked up to her. The towering figure of 1.85 meters cast a shadow over her, and even if it was just an overlapping shadow, Myrna inexplicably felt a sense of heat.

“Were you tired?”

Myrna had thought he would ask about Alfi first. Surprised when he asked about her instead, she paused, set aside the surgical gown she had taken off, and replied in a somewhat relaxed tone, “I’m fine, not dead yet.”

“Alfi was fine; I had set his broken bone.”
