Chapter 202: She’s Not Your Girlfriend Again
“I couldn’t stay in Melcester for long, and I wanted to chat more with Mya,” Yvette said, feeling a bit reluctant to leave Myrna. Seeing Myrna’s tiredness, however, she sighed, “Oh well, I’ll have to find another opportunity to chat another day.”
She finished speaking, her eyes lighting up as she remembered something. Rummaging through her bag, she pulled out her phone, happily saying to Myrna, “Mya, what’s your phone number? Let’s exchange numbers. When you feel better, I’ll invite you out for a drink.”
Calvin recalled her enthusiastic attempt to introduce Myrna to someone just now, and his forehead throbbed. He stopped her, saying, “She is still a student and doesn’t have time to answer your calls. If you have something to tell her, give me a call, and I will pass it on to her.”
Yvette, growing annoyed by his continued obstruction, looked at him skeptically, pursing her lips. “I’m going out to play with Mya, why should I call you? Mya isn’t your girlfriend; are you being too controlling? I never realized you were so nosy before.”
She said earnestly, “Men are too fussy and can’t find a partner.”
After speaking, she furrowed her brows and looked at the exceptionally handsome man with a skeptical expression. “You said you’re not bad-looking, capable, and have a car and a house, so why can’t you find a partner? None of the blind dates I introduced to you have been successful. Could it really be because of your personality?”
“…Cedric silently gave her a thumbs-up in his heart.”
Calvin’s forehead throbbed fiercely, almost uncontrollably. He glanced at the girl beside him and saw she wasn’t paying attention. His mood complicated again; his thin lips tightened, and his deep, narrow eyes met Yvette’s gaze. His voice was low and mellow, with a hint of meaning, “Little sister, marriage is a lifelong matter. I only want to be with the right person. Everyone else is a waste.”
Yvette, with a fiery temper, glanced up and said directly, “Then you waste one to show me.”
Calvin:
Cedric was standing nearby, almost bursting into laughter. The young lady was mighty and impressive, 666!
Yvette scolded her nephew, having no patience for his nonsense about finding a partner. She turned her head, shifting her attention back to Myrna and speaking kindly and affectionately, “Mya, let’s exchange contact information so that we can stay in touch more often. Thanks to you helping Alfi this time, even if you refuse to accept my small token of appreciation, at least leave me your contact information. If you ever need anything, you can always reach out to me. Whatever it is, just let me know, and I’ll do my best to help you.”
The Larson family’s eldest daughter’s commitment is worth more than a thousand gold coins! Many people in Nemmington dreamed of having a commitment like this. Yvette, however, made the heaviest promise to the girl she had just met for the first time.
Myrna had no idea how impressive Yvette’s promise was. She saw Yvette’s sincere face, and knowing that she was Alfredo’s grandmother, she furrowed her brow and took out her phone.
“18XXXXXX.”
A string of numbers was recited from her mouth, hoarse and tender, with a unique and pleasant voice. Yvette immediately wrote down the number she said and dialed it in front of Myrna. Soon, Myrna’s phone vibrated in her hand. She hung up the phone and said with a smile, “This is my personal mobile phone. I always carry it with me, so you can call me anytime, and it will always go through.”
Calvin’s eyes were deep-set, squinting, and he never let go of Myrna’s hand. He asked his aunt, “Are we done asking? If we are, I’ll take her and leave first.”
Yvette pulled Myrna aside again to exchange Line contacts, then contentedly stepped aside, saying, “Go ahead, I’ll go check on Alfi.”
Chapter 203: Do You Like the Little Girl?
She watched the backs of the two people and suddenly asked Cedric beside her, “Does Calvin like the little girl?”
Cedric was leading her towards the ward when he heard the words…
