Chapter 205: Oh my, what did he see?
The man’s black phone lit up with a soft light, but the focus wasn't on the incoming call. It was a photo on the screensaver! The photo showed a young girl in pajamas. She looked very young, with delicate and beautiful features. Her skin was fair, her eyelids thin. Her round, bright eyes were accentuated, their corners slightly upturned, giving her a somewhat mischievous look. A necklace with a hexagram pendant hung on her snow-white neck; the delicate diamonds emitted a soft glow in the light. She was standing there, seemingly with a somewhat uncomfortable expression, holding a doll and showing a very faint smile toward the camera.
So obedient! This person, even with his eyes closed, recognized her—Myrna! Blake’s alarm bells rang loudly in his mind; he felt completely baffled as to where this photo had appeared.
How could Mr. Larson’s phone screensaver be Mya? When was this taken? He couldn’t stand still and picked up his phone, walking upstairs.

Upstairs, the second floor was quiet. The door to the middle room was slightly ajar, and it was pitch black inside with no lights on. Calvin opened the door and tiptoed inside, hearing a steady breathing sound. It was evident the person on the bed was sleeping soundly.
He couldn’t help but recall Myrna’s hoarse voice from after her surgery. He couldn’t help but feel sorry for her, standing by the bed, bending down to tuck the blanket around her. Myrna slept unusually soundly. She was really tired, so tired she didn’t even have the strength to lift her eyelids, so she didn’t notice anyone approach.
Until, it seemed like a ‘mosquito’ had bitten her forehead—cool and soft. She was just awakened and subconsciously furrowed her brows, pressing her throbbing eyes. She opened her eyes and saw a blurry figure by the bed, asking, “How long have I been sleeping?”
Calvin saw her sit up, the blanket slipping off her body. He picked up the blanket from the floor for her and said, “You haven’t slept long; you only slept for a little over an hour.”
“The porridge is ready. Come down and have something to eat first, and then go back to sleep after you finish eating.”
Myrna’s mind slowly started to function again. Sleepiness came and went quickly, but even after a short nap, she still felt physically tired and didn’t feel like moving much. She sat on the edge of the bed, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. After finally regaining her composure, she said to the tall man, “You go down first; I’ll take a shower and come over right away.”

Are you coming right after taking a shower?
In the darkness, the graceful man raised an eyebrow, a hint of emotion flickering in his pitch-black eyes. He put his hands in his pockets and watched her unabashedly get out of bed and rummage through the wardrobe for clean clothes, slightly pursing his thin lips in bewilderment.
It seems he played the role of a “good friend” too successfully! She quickly started to consider herself as ‘uncle’—successfully! This was not a good phenomenon.
“The temperature outside is low, and it’s easy to catch a cold at night. When going out, wear something thicker.” His eyes were almost unable to contain the invading possessiveness, but he naturally went out and even helped Myrna close the door.
Outside the door, Blake, who was holding his phone, bumped into him. When I saw him, his eyes clearly avoided mine.
“Um, I came up to deliver the phone, and I didn’t see anything.”
Holy shit, what did he just see? Blake’s heart was racing; he could hardly believe his eyes. However, he couldn’t bring himself to speak up about it, as it would make him seem like he was intentionally peeping.
“Someone called you, just hung up; you should give her a call back.” Blake said, as he stuffed the phone into his pocket. He ran very fast, disappeared in a flash, as if there was a ghost chasing him from behind.
