Chapter 214: Unable to Face Myrna

“Ah, Stephie, you didn’t go, huh?”

Someone said, “You left something in the classroom. I ran fast; I’ll go back and help you bring it.”

Stephanie forced a smile and said, “I didn’t go, you guys go.”

To avoid a direct collision with Myrna, she lied and said, “Something inconvenient for others to hold; I put it in the small pocket of my backpack.”

The girls present immediately understood. Sanitary pads, you know. During their periods, girls would bring a few to school, usually hidden in a small pouch inside their backpacks.

“Then you go ahead.” Stephanie’s reason was flawless; all the girls spoke up for her, preventing any further questioning from the boys.

Stephanie breathed a sigh of relief, glanced at Myrna with a complex gaze, nodded, and hurried away.

Yesterday at the hospital scared her to death. Myrna went crazy and actually slapped her in public. He/she even made a fierce threat in front of the Cooper family, saying he/she wouldn’t let her go. To be honest, she was very scared at that time. Before going to bed that night, she thought about it and realized Myrna was only acting tough because she relied on men. She couldn’t really do anything to her, so there was no need to be afraid.

However, every time she saw Myrna’s face, she was reminded of what happened in the hospital and the child whose surgery’s success was unknown. What if that child became disabled…?

Stephanie felt frustrated and didn’t feel like thinking. She greeted her classmates and hurried away.

“How did she leave?” Rachel was on edge, waiting for Stephanie to come over and show off while causing trouble. Little did she expect that, fully prepared and with great determination, Stephanie walked away.

She grabbed the back of her head, looking puzzled. “What’s Stephanie up to? It didn’t rain red today, and she, who loves to show off, didn’t show off. It’s not logical.”

Ramon also thought it was unscientific: “Urge to urinate?”

Rachel glared at him and gave him a little side-eye, saying, “I used to have frequent urination and couldn’t empty my bladder completely!”

“Hehe, you have kidney deficiency. I’ll give you a bottle of Nao Bai Jin to eat another day, and you’ll be fine.” After Ramon finished speaking, he didn’t care about Rachel’s silly expression as she stood there wondering why he was giving her Nao Bai Jin instead of Liu Wei Di Huang Wan. He turned to Myrna and said, “Myrna, why did Stephanie leave as soon as she saw you?”

Rachel was a fool. She usually didn’t pay attention to how Stephanie walked, but he saw it clearly. Stephanie saw Myrna and suddenly stopped for a while before parting ways with the Class B group and returning to the classroom. This is very thought-provoking.

He looked at the girl beside him, her starry eyes hiding the boldness she used to have. There was still a hint of wildness in the corners of her eyes, and a crimson mole on her slender neck.

Her eyes were very dark, seemingly uninterested in everything around her. However, when she heard her own words, her eyebrows sharply raised, and she tore open the half-eaten slice of bread in her hand. She replied indifferently, “Perhaps it’s a guilty conscience.”

Perhaps feeling guilty like a thief? Hmm, how did he find Myrna’s response so substantial? So what did Stephanie do in the end?

Ramon spent the whole day trying to get Stephanie to reveal what she had done. If it had been an ordinary high school girl, she would have probably been tricked into revealing the truth by his overt and covert questioning. Unfortunately, the person he encountered was Myrna. Destined to be disappointed. Until the end of school, Myrna didn’t say a word to him. As soon as school was over, he couldn’t catch Myrna anymore. Within minutes of the school bell ringing, there was no one left in the classroom.
