Chapter 227 Slap in the Face

A seahorse, crafted from blue and white diamonds, was small but exquisite and adorable. Its adorable expression seemed to melt hearts with a gentle breeze. A man stood nearby; it was obviously Calvin.

He wore a sky-blue shirt, highly designed with asymmetrical hemlines. His long, well-proportioned legs were casually draped in jeans. Holding a mobile phone, he appeared to be half-closing his eyelids to read messages. A silver bracelet adorned his fair wrist, but the most eye-catching accessory was a string of beaded bracelets with a red tassel, exuding an inexplicable charm.

Myrna immediately recognized the shirt; she had bought it for him. After their encounter with Lawson, they had gone to a different store. They initially intended to buy him a watch, but accidentally saw the shirt at a Sparkling Gems clothing store while passing by. A similar women’s style was available; she tried it on, liked it, and bought it. Coincidentally, she was wearing the same outfit today.

Myrna’s temple throbbed. Out of nowhere, the thought of “couple outfits!” sprang to mind. With Alfi in a blue and white striped patient gown, the three of them could finally be considered a family. The thought arose, but was immediately dismissed. It was just a coincidence. He himself had said they were good friends, the kind who even shared a common nephew. Myrna didn't think about it further.

Just then, Cedric's message arrived: "Ms. Stark, Mr. Alfredo asked me to take a photo of him as proof that he was being well-behaved. How did the photo of Mr. Alfredo turn out? Is he cute?"

Myrna pulled up the picture, squinted, and replied with a wicked sense of humor, "That's fine, next time zoom in a bit, and it would be even better if you don't capture unnecessary things."

She had just finished replying when, on the other side, Cedric looked up and deliberately bumped into the man blocking Mr. Alfredo's camera, saying, “Mr. Larson, Ms. Stark wants you to stand further away next time and not block Mr. Alfredo’s camera.” The air seemed to cool several degrees.

A careless glance was returned. Cedric awkwardly shut his mouth, quickly returned the phone to a happily amused Alfredo, and slipped away, saying, “Mr. Alfredo, here’s your phone, you can reply to Ms. Stark yourself.”

Alfredo sheepishly held up his phone, hesitant to send Myrna a selfie. After a moment, he raised his phone, snapped a picture, cheeks flushed, and sent it.

Not long after, Myrna received his adorable selfie. The little one's pink and tender face was turned towards the camera, skin so smooth it was poreless. A reflection of a mobile phone was even visible in his grape-sized eyes. Cute like a little apple. This time, there were no extra people in the photo.

Ding. Myrna's phone rang again. Immediately, Alfredo's message arrived: "Sister, I will finish soon and come over with Uncle. Love you, muah muah~(3))~?~" Muah was internet slang he'd learned from Blake; it's said girls like it.

Myrna didn't know if other girls liked it or not, but since hearing Blake say so, she kept receiving similar emoticons and messages. She had just put away her phone when, "Myrna!" Rachel and the others on the roadside waved enthusiastically, calling out, "Over here, Myrna!" Myrna put her phone back in her pocket and walked away. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a sapphire blue Ferrari crushing fallen leaves as it sped by.
