Chapter 232: Slapping the Face [6]

Amy thought he was protecting Myrna, and she was so angry she trembled. She yelled, “She didn’t do it on purpose! Who did? Didn’t you hear how she always has a confrontational attitude whenever I say something? She doesn’t seem like a good person at all.”

“She knew today was an important day for our family, yet she went to Watershed Restaurant. I think she deliberately sabotaged the occasion!”

Ramon couldn’t bear to listen anymore and spoke up in defense: “Watershed Restaurant was a place to eat. If you could come, why couldn’t we?”

“Who are you again?” Amy glanced at him contemptuously and said firmly, “I know better than you whether she wants to freeload off me or not. There’s no need for you to meddle in this!”

This person was unreasonable. Ramon was about to speak when Myrna pulled him aside. Looking at Amy, she said impatiently, her voice hoarse, “Stephanie didn’t tell you why I’m here?”

She thought Stephanie had said it.

“Stephie?” Amy turned to her well-behaved granddaughter, assuming Stephanie had kindly invited Myrna. With impatience, she said, “Stephie is kind-hearted and beautiful, and she treats you as part of our family. Her invitation for you to come and eat is useless. You are not welcome here, so please leave!”

“Huh.” Myrna couldn’t help but laugh. It seemed she really thought Watershed Restaurant was exclusively for the Stark family.

“Who told you that I was invited by Stephanie?”

Stephanie, still hearing the mocking voices, grabbed her grandmother tightly and whispered, so only a few could hear, “Grandma, she also came here to eat.”

I was busy doing my hair and applying a face mask yesterday, and I forgot to tell my family about the school matters. So, I didn’t mention that Myrna would also treat us to dinner here today.

She felt embarrassed and upset. She hurriedly said, “She… Dad is going to throw her a belated birthday party, and he booked a spot outside Watershed Restaurant at the last minute.”

It was outside, not in a private room! There is another important point, which is temporary!

Rachel almost couldn’t resist rushing up. How could such a good thing be said so disgustingly?

Did Stephanie open her mouth to go to the bathroom?

Amy still didn’t believe it and asked skeptically, “Wasn’t someone invited?”

Stephanie wondered how she could possibly have invited Myrna, but she put on a gentle expression and looked apologetically at Myrna, shaking her head, “No.”

“Grandma, she must also be waiting for someone; let’s go.” She was afraid Amy wouldn’t go back, and she whispered, “…the reporter is watching.”

Myrna was really outstanding in her appearance. Several reporters noticed them and seemed to have taken a few pictures.

I am the protagonist of today. Stephanie wished she could leave quickly, and she pulled Amy, calling out softly, “Grandma.”

Amy really despised Myrna, even though it was confirmed that Myrna was not called by Stephanie; she was just here to eat as well. She still had a disgusted look on her face, her eyebrows furrowed as she said, “Hmph, fine, whatever. It’s just trying to imitate others! I want to see what she can come up with by deliberately choosing to eat here today!”

Myrna stood there, her eyebrows and eyes wild. She retorted, “Fine, you’ll see.” She did intend to eat out a flower!

Myrna single-handedly confronted the Stark family, and it seemed like they couldn’t do anything to her. They left, visibly annoyed.

Ramon and Rachel both looked at the carefree girl in front of them with admiration, unable to resist giving her a thumbs-up and saying, “Myrna, you’re awesome!”
