Chapter 248: An Old Man Came In
Luther didn't know the two people, shaking his head and looking confused. “I don’t know,” he said, “I didn’t invite them. Maybe they are friends invited by Mom?” Looking at them, their attire wasn't impressive, and he instinctively frowned.
Oliva, however, recognized one of them. Her face changed; excitement flushed her bright red. She exclaimed in shock, “Mr. Herrera?” She had never been so excited seeing Denise and Lawrence, but her emotions were now wildly out of control, attracting much attention. Oliva ignored them. She was extremely excited and could hardly contain herself. She really didn't expect Mr. Herrera to show up!
To say she was a leading figure in the piano world—and one of the top figures in the domestic music industry—she was considered at least one of the ten greatest masters. Even the renowned Maximo she had invited was no match for her on the international stage. They were simply of different nationalities; Maximo was overseas, and she was in the country.
But Ernesto Herrera was different; Ernesto was a legend! There was no classical musician who didn't admire and respect Ernesto. These people went out and respectfully called themselves “master” to others. They themselves approached Ernesto and needed to respectfully call him “Master!” There was a huge gap between them and Ernesto—a gap she was incapable of bridging in her lifetime. In addition, Ernesto was renowned for countless achievements, but his harp playing was most commendable. He was the only harp master in the world. A World Intangible Cultural Heritage inheritor! How could she not be excited when such a usually low-key, mysterious, legendary figure, who only occasionally appeared at academic research meetings, suddenly appeared before her? She really didn't expect the Stark family to have the ability to invite someone like Ernesto!
The old and young people outside the door didn't hear her exclamation. They saw so many people inside the private room. The young man was stunned for a moment and asked, “Hello, is Ms. Stark celebrating her birthday here?”
All eyes were on Stephanie.
Looking for Stephanie?
Stephanie paused, confusion unconsciously spreading in her watery eyes. Who is this person, and is he the person Grandma invited again? Excited, Oliva looked at her intently, offering her the first smile of the day: “Stephie, what are you still standing there for? Why don’t you go and greet Mr. Herrera?”
“Mr. Herrera?” someone asked curiously.
Oliva snorted, “You young people nowadays only seem interested in chasing celebrities in the entertainment industry. You have very little knowledge about truly high-level things. Mr. Herrera is an intangible cultural heritage inheritor of the harp, a true master of music!”
Everyone listened as she spoke. They looked towards the door and saw an old man dressed plainly. How amazing is this?!
Katrina couldn’t help but exclaim, “Stephie is really impressive! She even managed to invite such a talented master.” She purely expressed her heartfelt feelings. As Stephanie listened, even though she was still confused herself, she unconsciously straightened her back a little.
Lawson also knew Mr. Herrera, but he had only heard of this legendary master. Looking at Stephanie with astonishment, he said, “Stephie, why didn’t you tell me that Mr. Herrera was coming?”
“I…” Stephanie really wanted to say that she also didn’t know when Mr. Herrera would come!
A few people from Class B followed her, smiling brightly and teasing, “Yeah, Stephie, you’re too low-key, aren’t you? How can you stay calm and not say anything?”
