Chapter 292: It's a Dead End Without Myrna's Involvement

Rose Heights was in chaos. The movers had arrived, but Stephanie was hiding in her room and refused to come out. Luther aged significantly overnight. The air of luxury he previously exuded was worn away by recent setbacks, leaving only weariness. He sat on the sofa, ignoring the movers, his bloodshot eyes fixed on his phone.

He couldn't send it! He sent seven or eight messages in a row, all refused. Only then did he sigh, leaning back, looking defeated, as if he had aged several more years.

Leann approached, concerned, and saw him staring at his phone. “Luther, Stephie’s been in her room since she came back. Should I go check on her?”

Luther had been blocked. He lacked enthusiasm. Lifting his eyelids slightly, he said, “Don’t bother; let her be alone.”

“Are you sure everything is okay?” Leann worried, glancing towards the upstairs bedroom. “I noticed Stephie didn’t look well when she came back…”

Luther, not in the mood to comfort her, weakly said, “She’s not as fragile as you think. She probably got hurt; let her be alone. It’s better for her to process it than for you to comfort her a hundred times!”

Originally, I was guaranteed a spot at the prestigious Nemmington School, seemingly destined for success. But in the blink of an eye, I not only lost my guaranteed admission to Hebbury College of Art, but Mya also received a place at Craydon University—a better school. No one would feel comfortable with this outcome.

Luther understood Stephanie’s feelings. He knew letting her be alone to vent her emotions would be better than comforting her now.

Leann saw he wouldn’t go upstairs. Looking at his desolate appearance, she pursed her lips. “Luther, don’t be like this. We haven’t reached the end of the road yet…”

Luther glanced at her, a bitter smile at the corner of his mouth, and reluctantly nodded, “Hmm.” Only he knew how powerless that nod was.

Stark Realty was like a runaway train, unable to stop. The Taylor Group is now completely at odds with them. Before Stephie’s birthday party, they quietly announced they wouldn’t cooperate. Afterward, they started openly suppressing them. Denise even made it clear that anyone collaborating with Stark Realty would be disrespecting her!

Chapter 292: It's a Dead End Without Myrna's Involvement

The Melcester business district is large. Denise has the support of the Taylor family (behind Nemmington) and the Taylor Group. When she speaks, how many in Melcester dare cooperate with Stark Realty? Added to their unsuccessful development project applications and rejected loan requests… if they weren’t at the end of their rope, he wouldn’t have considered selling the house.

He knew the only solution was Myrna! If Myrna had been willing to help, there would have been a chance to resolve this deadlock. So he kept messaging, trying to mend the relationship, but after two days of being ignored and now blocked…

He knew in his heart Myrna wouldn't give them another chance. So, this was a deadlock.
